Chapter 622 Hagrid's Story
It was dark early, and snow was falling outside.
After dinner, Fish and Hermione returned to the common room and told Harry and Ron that Hagrid would be back tonight, so they decided to go to Hagrid's place with the cats tonight.
"It would be nice if my Animagus was also a small animal..." Harry, who was wearing the Invisibility Cloak with Ron, sighed as he looked at the two cats in front of him.
Becoming an Animagus like his father was Harry's original wish, and he was indeed very happy after becoming a stag, but after really becoming a stag, Harry found that his Animagus was useless most of the time...
In terms of disguise, stags are not very common animals. If you see them normally, they will definitely attract other people's attention; in terms of fighting, he is not Fish, so the wand is definitely more useful.
There are no werewolves among his friends who need company, not to mention that now there is a wolf poison potion, even if there are werewolves, they no longer need large Animagus to suppress them.
So... Harry actually has some regrets in his heart.
"I must become a smaller animal next year, at least a more common one." Ron argued.
Then he got a pair of eye rolls from Harry: "You have been saying that you want to become an Animagus since the second grade."
Ron opened his mouth and wanted to defend himself, but after a long time of grumbling, he remained silent...
After all, Harry was successful, so it was not easy to say his reason of "too much study to balance".
So after an awkward silence for a moment, Ron decisively changed the subject and said: "Professor McGonagall said Hagrid needs Fish's help with something? What do you think it is?"
"Didn't he go to find the giant? Do you think he brought the giant back?" Harry guessed.
"No way..." Ron waved his hand first, but after thinking about it carefully, his face turned pale.
This is indeed what Hagrid would do!
And he needs Fish's help, obviously wanting to use the cat's affinity to appease the irritable giant.
"Isn't he afraid of being discovered by the Ministry of Magic?" Ron said anxiously.
Although there should be no danger with Fish around, just like Voldemort and werewolves, wizard families like Ron grew up listening to stories about ferocious giants.
"Maybe it's not giants, but some 'cute' animals... like dragons or something." Harry laughed dryly and overturned his previous guess, "Isn't it said that giants and wizards have a bad relationship? They shouldn't follow easily, right?"
Just as Harry and Ron were worried and guessing, the two men and two cats came to Hagrid's hut.
Fish and Hermione returned to their human form and went forward to knock on the door. Almost at the same time as they knocked on the door, Fang's cheerful cry and the sound of it scratching the door with its claws rang out from inside the door.
"Get out of the way, Fang, I'll open the door!" Hagrid's hoarse voice rang out, followed by the sound of him pulling the bolt.
The door creaked open a crack, and Fish led the way through the crack, followed by Hermione, Harry and Ron.
"Ah——!" Hermione screamed immediately after entering the door.
"Merlin's beard, keep your voice down!" Hagrid said hurriedly.
After lifting the invisibility cloak, Harry and Ron also understood why Hermione screamed.
Hagrid's hair was messy, with blood clots on it. His left eye was swollen into a slit, blue and purple, and his face and hands were covered with scars, some of which were still bleeding. He moved very carefully, and Harry suspected that his ribs might be broken.
"Did you fight with giants? Are they powerful?"

After giving Hagrid a rejuvenation shot, Fish immediately asked excitedly.
"Oh, thank you, Fish." Hagrid thanked him and quickly closed all the curtains. Then he did not answer Maomao's question, but asked: "How did you know I went to find the giant?"
"It was Fang who told Fish. He said that you and Olim went to find the giant together, meow."

Maomao did not hesitate at all and directly identified the snitch dog.
"Hmm..." Hagrid looked at Fang who was circling Fish, and finally sighed and muttered helplessly: "Well, I didn't intend to hide it from you..."
He first poured tea for Fish and the other four, and then wanted to tell them about his experience during this period.
But just as Hagrid was pouring tea for them, Maomao was attracted by another thing on the table.
Fish reached out and lifted the tea towel covering something on the table. Under the tea towel was a piece of raw meat slightly larger than an ordinary car tire. The meat was green and it didn't seem to be suitable for eating.
"Is this... the meat of a Welsh green dragon?" Fish leaned forward and sniffed, asking uncertainly.
He had smelled a similar smell during the Triwizard Tournament, and it was very similar to the smell of the dragon that Fleur had fought.
"Ah... yes," Hagrid replied, "Dragon meat has an analgesic effect," he pointed to the blood clot on his hair, "I used it to apply on my face before."
"If it can relieve pain... then it must be delicious, right?"
ω
I don't know what Fish's logic is, but it's obvious that the little greedy cat has set his eyes on this piece of dragon meat...
Hagrid can't use it now anyway, so why not let Fish eat it!
Maomao stared at Hagrid with burning eyes and thought.
"I don't know, it probably doesn't taste good." Hagrid shook his head and said, "Otherwise, dragon meat should have been on the wizards' tables long ago."
He was not fooling Fish with this, but had a reason.
There were several times when there were too many dragons, and the International Confederation of Wizards had to send dragon slayers to hunt dragons. During that period, materials such as dragon blood and dragon scales on the market were much cheaper, but even so, dragon meat did not appear on the wizards' tables.
After listening to Hagrid's explanation, Fish still didn't give up.
"Maybe they don't like it? Or they don't know how to cook it... Anyway, you can't use it, so why not let Fish give it to Komi to try meow."

The pulled away Maomao still kept glancing at the dragon meat on the table.
Hagrid shrugged helplessly and said, "Okay, you can take it later, but you'd better ask Dumbledore or Snape before eating it, because I don't know if this thing is edible."
"It's not poisonous, it should be edible."

Fish had already confirmed it with a spell when he lifted the tea towel.
"Okay, let's listen to Hagrid's story about the giant first." Hermione pulled Fish's robe and got back to the topic.
Then Hagrid talked about what he and Ms. Maxime had done during this period of time, and what they had experienced with the giant, and Hermione and the others asked about the details from time to time.
And Fish was listening carefully. He was still very interested in those giants, especially after knowing that they also liked to fight...
"Really, if you had brought Fish with you, you wouldn't have to be afraid of those Death Eaters at all... Fish wouldn't have to stay at Sirius's house to plant flowers this summer!"

After listening to Hagrid's story, the cat pouted and complained angrily.
If he had gone, he would not only be able to fight with giants, but also with Death Eaters. Moreover, Hagrid said that he had some trouble with trolls and vampires on the way, and there were also stalkers from the Ministry of Magic!
Fish counted the people he could fight with on his fingers, and his tail behind him swung quickly.
Hagrid smiled and said nothing, because he also thought that Fish should be brought with him, but Professor McGonagall would definitely not allow it.
Just when Harry and the others wanted to ask how Hagrid was injured, Fish suddenly turned his head and looked outside the door.
"Hide! Umbridge is coming!"
