Chapter 150: The Secret Chamber Incident in Tom's Memory
"What are you doing, wandering around so late, Rhett?" Dumbledore called to Tom.
"I'm going to see the principal, Professor Dumbledore!" Tom bowed politely, and it was obvious that he had great respect for Dumbledore.
"Okay, let's go to bed." Dumbledore glared at Tom insightfully in a way that Fan Lin was not familiar with. "It's best not to wander in the corridors these days. Since..."
He sighed heavily, wished Tom good night and walked away. Fanlin could see that Dumbledore was very troubled by what happened at school.
Tom watched him out of sight and quickly descended the stone steps toward the dungeon.
Fanlin followed closely. He didn't understand why Tom walked towards the dungeon. The entrance to the secret room was not in the toilet where Myrtle died. According to the development of the plot, it should be to Myrtle's toilet.
But to Fanlin's disappointment, Tom had no intention of turning around and going to Myrtle's toilet, but came to where Fanlin was taking Snape's potion class.
The torch was not lit, so when Tom pushed open the almost closed door, Fanlin could only see Tom standing motionless by the door, looking at the passage outside.
Fan Lin felt that they had been there for at least an hour, and the long wait gradually wore away Fan Lin's patience. What he wanted to see more was the contents of the secret room.
At this time Fanlin could only see Tom's figure. He looked out through the crack in the door, like a sculpture, waiting for something. Just when Fan Lin no longer felt the anticipation and nervousness, hoping to return to reality, he heard something moving outside the door.
Someone is crawling along the passage. Fanlin heard someone pass by where he and Tom were hiding.
Tom followed quietly from the crack of the door like a shadow. Fanlin's attention was completely focused on Tom at this time. He completely forgot that no one could see him and walked quietly behind him.
They walked up the stairs for about five minutes, until Tom suddenly stopped and poked his head towards the new sound. Harry heard the door open and someone whisper in a husky voice.
"Come...Aragog...come...to the box..."
The voice sounded familiar.
Suddenly Fanlin realized something was wrong, Aragog, this was Hagrid's Acromantula, this was Hagrid's suspected version.
Tom suddenly jumped out from the corner, and Harvanlin jumped out after him. Fan Lin could see Hagrid's huge black outline. He was already that tall when he was still in school. He was standing in front of an open door, next to a large box.
"Good evening, Rubeus Hagrid," Tom said sharply.
Hagrid closed the lid of the box, slammed the door of the small utility room, and stood up.
"What are you doing here, Tom?"
Tom took a step closer.
"It's over," said Tom. "I have to report you up, Rubeus Hagrid. You know, if the attacks don't stop, they're going to close the school."
"You mean..."
"I know you don't want to kill anyone," Tom said sincerely, but he didn't mean to let Hagrid go.
"You know, monsters are not good things. Even if they are raised by people, if they are separated from their owners, the ferocity of these beasts will be exposed. I think you just want them to come out and move around..."
"It never hurt anyone." Hagrid leaned his back against the closed door. Behind him, Fanlin could hear an interesting chug and click.
"Don't deny it, Hagrid!" Tom said, "Don't think I don't know what it is, a highly venomous Acromantula, a Category A prohibited trade item stipulated by the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. "
Tom paused and continued, "I don't know where you got this thing from, but it has violated the laws set by the Ministry of Magic. Don't think you can hide it, you know, your detoxification I still prepared the agent, and I can’t let him continue to harm people.”
Tom looked upright. In fact, Fanlin thought so too. After all, it was inappropriate to keep such a thing in the castle. It was not like Hagrid raising Nobo in the Forbidden Forest. Hagrid didn't have that ability yet.
"Come on, Hagrid," Tom moved closer. "The dead girl's parents will be here tomorrow. At least Hogwarts should kill the thing that killed their daughter..."
"It's not him!" Hagrid yelled. His voice echoed in the dark corridor: "He won't! He never has! Aragog won't hurt anyone, he's obedient!"
"Stand aside." Tom took out his wand. He became impatient. Without hesitation, a magic spell flew out of Tom's wand in an instant.
The burst of flames from Tom's spell illuminated the entire corridor. The door behind Hagrid was knocked down suddenly, and Hagrid was also slammed into the opposite wall.
What came out of the door caused Fanlin to let out a long and shrill scream that only he could hear. Fan Lin was frightened by this spider. He had never thought that there would be such a big and terrifying spider.
A huge, slow-moving, hairy body, a mass of black legs, many gleaming eyes, and a pair of sharp pincers... Tom raised his wand again, but it was too late. The thing knocked him over as it fled through the corridor and was soon gone. Tom fumbled at his feet for his wand.
He raised his wand again, but Hagrid jumped on him, snatched it away, and threw it far behind, shouting, "No... Tom!"
Fan Lin wanted to continue reading, but this memory from fifty years ago came to an end.
The scene spun again and became completely dark.
Fan Lin felt himself descending, and fell to the sofa where he curled up. In the public lounge of Gryffindor, Tom's diary was open and flat on his stomach.
After reading all this, Fan Lin basically understood what Tom knew about the Chamber of Secrets.
But what made Fan Lin feel entangled was that Tom Riddle, who had not been in contact for a long time, was the murderer who misunderstood Hagrid, causing Hagrid to be expelled from Hogwarts and deprived of his ability to cast spells by the Ministry of Magic.
This is why Hagrid used the red umbrella. In fact, the pink umbrella has completely replaced the role of Hagrid's wand. Although according to regulations, Hagrid is completely prohibited from using magic. A wizard losing his wand means that he has lost the right to cast spells.
Even so, in Fan Lin's opinion, Hagrid is still very satisfied with his current life. Hogwarts' gamekeeper, as well as Norbo and Fangya accompanied him. (To be continued)
