Chapter 77 Dobby the House Elf

Harry, who lives in Privet Drive, feels that this holiday cannot be too bad.

Ever since he returned from Hogwarts, the Dursleys' dislike of him had increased by an unknown percentage.

Or maybe they desperately want to die outside?

Harry always thinks like this sometimes.

All of Harry's belongings were hidden away by the Dursleys, although Harry knew they were locked there.

But crazy Uncle Dursley would go there to check on the side every day when he came back, and Aunt Petunia wouldn't let him out at all during the day. Harry was not even allowed to use the toilet on the first floor when going to the toilet. Harry could only stay in his small room doing nothing every day.

But the good news is that due to the issuance of the lockdown, Harry has a lot less housework than before.

Compared with these, Harry wanted to complete his summer homework as soon as possible. As soon as he thought of Hermione's terrifying eyes and Snape's cynicism, Harry felt that he had no good way out.

Speaking of Hermione, it must be said that Harry did not receive a letter from anyone during the entire holiday, including Ron, Hermione, and Fan Lin. Even Harry's birthday today, there is no news at all.

But looking at the scene in front of him, Harry had to get through the crisis in front of him first. Harry looked at the abnormal house elf in front of him with fear. Harry didn't know what he said wrong. This damn house elf was banging its head on Harry's desk crazily.

"Bad Dobby! Bad Dobby!"

"Don't be like this - what are you doing?" Harry hissed, jumping up and pulling Dobby back to the bed. With a loud hissing sound, Haiwei woke up and flapped his wings hard against the bars of the cage.

"Dobby will have to punish himself, sir," said the elf, its eyes becoming a little squinty.

"Dobby serves a wizarding family."

"Dobby is a house spirit - a duty to serve a house and a family forever..."

"Do they know you're here?" Harry asked curiously.

"Oh no, sir, no... sir, Dobby will punish himself severely for coming to see you. Dobby will get his ear caught in the oven door because of this. If they find out, sir - "

"But wouldn't they know you pinned your ear to the oven door?" "Dobby guessed they did, sir. Dobby always had to punish himself for something, sir. They went on regardless of Dobby. Keep doing it. Sometimes they remind me to do some extra punishment..."

"But why don't you leave? Run away?" Harry didn't understand Dobby's thinking.

"An elf must not be freed, sir. This family will never free Dobby... Dobby will serve this family until he dies, sir..." Dobby sobbed, looking very crying. sad.

Harry's eyes widened.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you." Harry said apologetically. Seeing Dobby so sad, Harry blamed himself very much.

"Offended Dobby!" the elf choked. "Dobby has never been apologized to by a wizard... as a peer..."

"Your master is really too bad!" Harry said angrily, "They shouldn't treat you like this."

In Harry's opinion, Dobby was worse than the slave he once was in ancient times.

"Yes." Dobby replied habitually, but he immediately realized what he had said.

"Bad Dobby, bad Dobby..."

Dobby kept shouting, grabbing a lamp in his hand and smashing it on his ugly nose.

"Give him to me!"

Harry grabbed it. He didn't understand what he had done wrong again.

"No, Harry Potter." Dobby backed away, "Dobby said bad things about his master. Dobby must punish himself. This is the principle that a house elf should have."

The dull knocking sound sounded from Harry's room again.

Harry felt like he was going to be driven crazy by this damn house elf.

"Stop it, damn...I told you to stop!" Harry also touched his own wand from nowhere.

"PetificusTotalus!"

The world has finally calmed down. Today is an important day for the Dursleys to entertain their clients, and Harry doesn't want to go hungry for a while.

"Hey, listen to me. If you don't want to cause any trouble, I hope you can sit down and stay for a while."

Harry seemed to be talking to himself. He just wanted to lift Dobby's spell, but the situation in front of him caught him off guard.

Dobby lifted the spell on Harry himself, and he cried even harder, hitting his head against the cabinet with increasing force.

"Dally, that kid must have forgotten to turn off the TV. I'll go up and take a look." Uncle Dursley's voice came up from downstairs, and Harry secretly screamed something bad.

"Quick! Go to the wardrobe!" Harry shouted as he pushed Dobby in. He had just closed the door when the doorknob opened.

"What on earth are you doing?" Uncle Vernon put his face in front of Harry's eyes and said through gritted teeth.

"Sorry." Harry pushed up his glasses, looking very nervous at the moment.

Just then, the closet door opened.

Seeing this, Harry quickly closed the cupboard door. But it didn't work. Dobby always wanted to get out of the closet.

Uncle Vernon looked at the closet suspiciously, and Harry could see the dinner disappearing from Uncle Vernon's eyes.

"As you can see, Uncle Vernon." Harry pushed the closet door shut with his hand.

"There's something wrong with this closet door."

"Damn it." Uncle Vernon didn't have time to think about it that much, and there was a deep disgust in his tone.

"As soon as possible...fix this damn door for me." Vernon's face turned purple.

"You know, everything you use is ours, kid! If something happens to this wardrobe, you won't have enough dinner for a week."

"Okay... okay, Uncle Vernon." Harry stuttered. He was very glad that Vernon didn't explore the cabinet.

"You know what? You just ruined the best part of my conversation." Vernon grabbed Harry's collar with one hand.

"...If you make any more noise, you will lose your life, boy!"

After speaking, Vernon pushed Harry, straightened his clothes with his hands, and put on that ugly smile again. He would continue to receive the Masons.

With the slamming of the door, Harry felt relieved and lay down on the bed, breathing heavily.

Harry was very suspicious at this moment that he had a fake birthday. Fortunately, dinner was not ruined. This might be the best news. (To be continued)
