Hogwarts: I'm a Model Wizard

Chapter 102 Final Exam

A few days before the exam, Rodon finally returned to Hogwarts.

When Kyle returned to the common room after dinner, he saw Rodon standing on the windowsill.

It looked exhausted, with drooping eyes, and its body was visibly thinner. Its beautiful feathers became dull and looked gray.

After seeing Kyle, Rodon raised his head and flapped his wings to fly over. As a result, when it was halfway through the flight, it began to fall down because of exhaustion.

Kyle hurried forward to catch it.

"I remember this is your owl."

Cedric next to him looked at Rodon who fell asleep in Kyle's arms and wondered: "How many letters did you ask it to deliver? Why is it so weak?"

"Just one... But I think it probably misunderstood what I meant."

Kyle carefully put Rodon on the sofa next to him, and then took an envelope from its claws.

It was a reply letter, and the handwriting on the envelope was from Newt.

Obviously, Rodan did not deliver the letter to Dorset as Kyle had intended, but flew directly to Newt. No wonder it took so long to come back.

Kyle shook his head with a bit of a smile... this silly bird.

Tomorrow is the final exam, and in order to ensure that they can have a good mental state the next day, the little wizards went to bed early.

Kyle rubbed the feathers on Rodan's neck, sat down beside it and opened the envelope.

Inside was a short reply letter.

"Kyle:

I am surprised to receive your letter from such a far place. I have thought about what you said. The venom of the Winged Demon is not corrosive at all, and it only targets the brain, and has no effect on plants.

But I have checked the wood you sent, and it does contain the venom of the Winged Demon. This is a very important discovery. As soon as things here are over, we will go to Hogwarts immediately.

(Your father asked me to tell you to stay away from dangerous things. Dumbledore is here.)

-Newt Scamander."

After reading the reply, Kyle closed his eyes and sat there silently thinking about something.

Hagrid went to the Forbidden Forest that night not because he found them wandering at night, but because of another person.

After he went deep into the Forbidden Forest, he might have found that person and fought with him, so there were two rows of messy footprints next to the tree at that time.

But unfortunately, the other party had a Winged Demon, and because of the influence of the venom, Hagrid forgot about it.

He forgot that he had been to the Forbidden Forest, and forgot everything that happened during that time, so on Christmas Day, Hagrid did not deliver the Christmas tree to the hall at the specified time.

Because in his memory, Halloween had just passed not long ago.

Now, everything makes sense.

And that curled-winged demon is probably the one that the Ministry of Magic has been looking for.

The only question now is who is the person who poisoned Hagrid.

Those wizards who hide their identities in the Hog's Head? Or a mouse hiding in the castle...

Half an hour later, Kyle, who had no clue, decided to give up.

Nothing is difficult in the world, as long as you are willing to give up.

Just like what the letter said, Dumbledore will take care of everything, and he will be on vacation soon, so why bother with this.

Kyle stood up and carried Laton back to the dormitory.

...

The next day, the exam began.

The first one was the magic theory exam, which is the so-called written exam.

In order to prevent cheating, no one is allowed to bring their own quills and ink, and must use the stationery distributed by the school.

But this did not stop the young wizards from cheating.

Katie Bell from Gryffindor entered the classroom nervously. Not long after she sat down, Professor McGonagall came over, ripped off the big red hair ornament on her head, and said coldly:

"Ms. Bell, this is not how the Transfiguration spell is used."

The hair ornament kept squirming in Professor McGonagall's hands, and soon turned into a piece of parchment full of small words.

Kyle, who witnessed the whole process, smacked his lips and silently gave a thumbs up in his heart.

Cheating with Transfiguration in front of Professor McGonagall... This operation is also quite explosive in the entire magic world.

Apart from anything else, this courage alone is more than 98% of the young wizards, worthy of being Gryffindor.

And those who wrote notes on their clothes also couldn't escape... Professor McGonagall just walked around the classroom and pulled them all out.

As a senior professor and vice-president who has been in charge of Hogwarts for more than 30 years, Professor McGonagall doesn't need to use props. She can tell who is guilty just by looking at their expressions. She can catch them accurately.

When everyone started answering the questions, she was still complaining to Dumbledore that he shouldn't have arranged her in the first-year examination room.

It's too unchallenging here. Professor McGonagall feels that she should be invigilating students above the fifth grade, where there are more cheating methods.

Potions, alchemical props, gesture spells and so on are all available.

Especially potions... Buffy's Brain Refresher and Sobering Potion are just the lowest level things. It is said that at last year's N.E.W.T, some students even used Felixir, but she didn't see it.

In addition, it is not uncommon to see people trying to sneak into the examination room using Polyjuice Potion and Disillusionment Charm.

So, for professors, invigilating students above the fifth grade is like fighting a war without gunpowder.

This may be a torture for other professors, but Professor McGonagall is different. She simply likes the feeling of competing with students.

Unfortunately, she was assigned to the Novice Village this year.

An hour later, Professor McGonagall looked at the group of honest freshmen below and complained again: "Albus is really a jerk. Why must I come to the first grade...even the third grade will do."

After the written test, there is a practical test. Professor Flitwick asked the students to walk into the classroom one by one to see if they can make a pineapple ride a flying broom around the field.

Of course, the so-called "flying broom" is just a wooden stick with feathers.

This was not difficult for Kyle. Not only did he complete the requirements perfectly, he even manipulated the wooden stick to do a classic Quidditch trick.

Professor Flitwick gave him a full score on the spot.

Professor McGonagall asked them to turn the rabbit into a brooch. The more exquisite the brooch, the higher the score. If the brooch still had the characteristics of the rabbit, points would be deducted.

Kyle remembered that he also had a brooch, which was a Christmas gift from Mikel, so he turned it into an identical one.

Professor McGonagall also gave him a full score.

The potion test was boil potion, which can be said to be one of the simplest potions. Although Kyle brewed a perfect potion, he did not dare to guarantee that he would get a high score.

During the exam, Snape almost always stood behind him and kept shaking his head. It was obvious that he would find various reasons to deduct points.
