Hogwarts: I'm a Model Wizard

Chapter 372 The Crown in the Treasure Room

Hogwarts weekends are always pleasant, but some people don't think so.

At 7:50, Mikel, who had been dawdling in the hall for half an hour, had to put down his cutlery and walked towards the underground classroom, looking back every few steps.

He seemed to want to seek help from his roommates, let them go with him, or cast a curse on himself.

As long as he could escape this detention, even if he was sent to the school hospital for two days, it would be no problem.

But Kyle and Ryan never looked up at him.

"I'm going to go to the Quidditch field in a while." Ryan seemed to have no idea that there was one less person around him. He turned his head to the other side naturally and said, "Aren't we going to recruit two people this year? I'm going to try my luck. Maybe I can be selected."

"Sure, which position are you going to choose." Kyle turned his head and avoided the pitiful look at the door.

"Chaser, same as you."

Ryan poured himself a glass of juice, "Or goalkeeper is also good, I heard that the competition for this position is not that fierce."

"I don't know about that." Kyle thought for a while and said, "But I think you can try both positions and see which one you are more suitable for."

"I think so too." Ryan took another piece of toast, "Are you going there later? We can go together."

"I won't go." Kyle shook his head, "It's okay to have Cedric there, I have other things to do."

After Harris graduated, Cedric became the new captain of the team. Whether it was recruiting new players or formulating training plans, it all fell on him.

The two chatted for a while, just at eight o'clock.

There was no pitiful figure of Mikel at the door of the auditorium.

Kyle and Ryan stood up at the same time.

Ryan went directly to the Quidditch field, while Kyle went up the stairs to the eighth floor and walked back and forth three times in a corridor.

"I need a room to hide things." Kyle muttered in his heart.

Finally, he stopped in the middle, facing the wall opposite a tapestry.

The door to the Room of Requirement appeared quickly, as if it had always been there.

Kyle walked in and closed the door with his hand.

It was quiet all around, and he stood in a room as big as a hall. The items hidden by previous Hogwarts students were piled together to form a series of high walls.

Below were broken furniture piled up and about to fall apart, as well as thousands of books.

However, these books were basically worthless, and some of the banned books were dangerous. Once opened, they might be cursed, and they were already classified as dark magic items.

Of course, there were certainly useful books, but Kyle didn't have the time or the energy to identify them one by one. The ones in the library were enough for him to read, so there was no need to waste time here.

Further down were winged slingshots and fanged flying saucers, some of which were still hovering feebly...some broken bottles contained solidified potions...and clothes and hats...opals...eggshells...rusty iron swords...

Kyle walked through these alleys made up of garbage...or treasures, and soon found a specimen of a troll.

A troll that was more than ten feet tall was quite conspicuous even in this pile of treasures.

"It should be nearby." Kyle looked around, walked along the passage in front of the troll, and finally stopped in front of a pile of ugly statues.

These statues were all of the same style, and each one was uglier than the other. Compared with them, Old Tom from the Leaky Cauldron could be considered handsome.

Among several wizard statues that looked like house elves, there was one that was the most special. Although it was not the ugliest one, it had a rusty crown hanging diagonally on its head.

The crown of Ravenclaw.

Kyle took a deep breath.

He had been here once in his first year, but at that time he just looked at it from a distance and left without approaching.

According to Kyle's original idea, when Dumbledore started looking for Voldemort's Horcrux, he could just find a reason to throw this thing to him.

It wasn't until June that he suddenly changed his mind.

It was mainly because of Rowena Ravenclaw.

When in the Chamber of Secrets, the founder could be said to be the most frugal of the four. Usually the other three were talking, and she was watching.

The only thing was that she reminded herself to practice more brain blockage and mentioned the crown at the end.

If Kyle remembered correctly, her original words were that she would not be affected when she wore the crown, and then she would be considered to have truly learned brain blockage.

This sentence didn't sound strange at the time.

After all, strictly speaking, increasing wisdom is also another form of magical invasion, which naturally belongs to the scope of brain blockage.

But a few days ago, after seeing the sorting hat in the principal's office, Kyle suddenly felt something was wrong.

A sword was protected so well, what if it was replaced with a crown that can increase wisdom...

Apart from all other factors, even if the crown was not stolen by her daughter Helena, nor was it made into a Horcrux, but remained in the school... But such an important thing, can a student like him use it just by saying so?

Moreover, if he really wanted to use the crown to practice brain occlumency as Ravenclaw said, he would definitely not use it only once or twice, but often.

This is simply impossible.

Give Ravenclaw's diadem to a student to practice Occlumency?

Unless Rowena Ravenclaw comes in person, no headmaster would agree to such an outrageous request.

Dumbledore might, but he's the only one...

Ravenclaw can't even guess the character of the headmaster of Hogwarts a thousand years later.

In addition, there are so many ways to practice and test Occlumency, Legilimency... Confusion spell... Even finding a charmer is fine, why do you have to use the diadem? Isn't this standard too high?

It's like you want to practice boxing, but someone directly puts out a 10-centimeter-thick steel plate and says that it will be considered a success when it is penetrated...

That's fine, but is it really necessary?

With Rowena Ravenclaw's wisdom, it should be impossible for her not to think of this, but she still said it.

Is there any other meaning in this...

After hesitating for a few days, Kyle decided to come over. No matter if he was overthinking it, at least take the diadem away first.

With his current brain occlumency, he should be able to resist the influence of the Horcrux.

Maybe...

Kyle put on the anti-curse gloves and carefully picked up the crown.

There was no curse, nor any trace of mental magic, but after being made into a Horcrux, the crown lost its original luster and became rusty and dark.

If it was put in a second-hand shop in Diagon Alley, I'm afraid no one would buy it even if it was priced at a Sickle.

But when Kyle looked carefully, he could barely make out the tiny words engraved on it: Extraordinary wisdom is the greatest wealth of mankind.

Kyle took off the anti-curse gloves again and took it directly in his hand, but there was still no reaction.

It seems that although they are both Horcruxes, there are still some differences between the crown and the diary. At least it is not so active.

Kyle took out the box he had prepared in advance and put the crown in it.

This box was given to him by Nicolas Flamel. It was used to hold the diary last year and the crown this year. It can be regarded as a professional match.
