Hogwarts: I'm a Model Wizard

Chapter 653 Kyle Was Taken Away

When Kyle patrolled the eighth floor and returned to the corridor, there was no trace of the Room of Requirement on the wall. It was as if nothing had happened.

At the same time, the others also patrolled their floors. Needless to say, no one gained anything.

Some people seemed unwilling, such as Montague and Filch.

"I know they must have taken action tonight." Filch said impatiently as soon as he arrived on the eighth floor: "Peeves was destroying the first floor. I heard its screams."

"Did you catch anyone?" Kyle asked.

"No." Filch said angrily, "When I rushed over, the person was gone, but I found a lot of footprints, there should be more than a dozen people."

"But we can't catch people by footprints, Mr. Filch." Kyle glanced at him, "unless you can take away everyone's shoes and compare them one by one."

Filch's face became a little ugly, snorted coldly, said nothing, and turned around and walked downstairs.

He still couldn't figure out why Umbridge asked him to follow the command of a student, when he could do all these things by himself.

"How rude." Kyle shook his head.

Mrs. Montgomery on the other side was much more honest. Although he was also upset because he didn't catch anyone, he didn't show it. He just stood quietly at the back, trying to reduce his presence.

"Okay, don't be discouraged." Kyle looked at everyone, "It's just the first day. It's normal to have no gains. As long as those people haven't given up violating school rules, we will catch them one day."

Kyle encouraged everyone for a few words, clapped his hands and said, "Now, everyone go back and rest, so as not to be late for class tomorrow."

Several Slytherins went downstairs without saying a word, and Kyle also returned to the Hufflepuff common room.

It was already late at this time. When he pushed open the barrel door, only Cedric and Connor were left in the common room, playing exploding cards to kill time.

"You're finally back." Cedric looked at the time and said with a smile: "But then again, you guys are really hard-working, and you're busy until so late."

"Who told you to run away early?" Kyle smiled and walked over to sit in the armchair between the two of them.

"How do you feel?" Connor put down the cards in her hand and asked with interest.

"Well... not bad." Kyle said, "If you are interested, I can convince Umbridge to let you be my assistant."

"Forget it." Connor shook her head hurriedly, "I can't guarantee that I won't be exposed. It's better for you to come."

"It doesn't matter, the assistant's job is to follow me, there won't be any problems." Kyle said.

Connor was a little tempted, mainly because everyone had something to do, and she also wanted to help.

"And this is a rare opportunity." Kyle continued, "You can experience the feeling of fighting wits and courage with the enemy in advance, just like the members of the Order of the Phoenix have always done."

"It should be the head of the Auror Office." Cedric teased, "Don't forget that you are still commanding a group of Slytherins."

"If Monta and the others are Aurors, the Ministry of Magic will be finished." Kyle shrugged, "Of course, the same goes for people like me."

Kyle's self-deprecating words made Connor couldn't help laughing out loud.

Then the three of them chatted in the common room for a while, and returned to their dormitories in the early morning.

...

The next day, in order to make the scene look more real, Cedric did not sit next to Kyle as usual during dinner, but deliberately came to a farther place.

Although Kyle felt that there was no need to do this, including Umbridge, everyone was staring at Gryffindor, and no one knew that he was also a member of the DA, but Cedric enjoyed it, and even raised his head from time to time and glared at Kyle with a vicious look.

It's just that his acting skills are really not that good, Kyle had to purse his lips to barely keep from laughing.

However, in contrast, the Slytherin students became much friendlier towards him.

As soon as the spells class was over, several Slytherins came over to chat with Kyle and invited him to their home during the Christmas holidays.

"Every Christmas holiday, our family holds a dance. You must not miss it. It's much more lively than last year's school dance..." said a sixth-grade Slytherin, "and many big shots will come, including Minister Fudge who will come occasionally."

"Really? That's great. If I have time, I will definitely go." Kyle said, while quietly quickening his pace.

But just as they left the classroom corridor, they were stopped by two people on the way to the auditorium.

"Weasley..." Before Kyle could say anything, a Slytherin stood up and said, "What do you want to do!"

"It has nothing to do with you. We are not here to find you." Fred glanced at him, then looked at Kyle fiercely and said, "Do you dare to come with us?"

"Of course, why not." Kyle said with a smile.

Then he signaled others to go first, and he took Connor and Fred to another empty corridor.

As soon as he walked out of everyone's sight, the expression on Fred's face changed.

"How on earth did you do it?" He tried hard to restrain his excitement and said in a low voice: "Our suspension punishment has been revoked... I, George, and Harry can all continue to play."

"Oh, that's good." Kyle said with a smile, "Congratulations."

"But how did you do it to actually make that old toad Umbridge change his decision?" Fred asked again.

He was just too curious.

Umbridge has been here for so long, but she has never heard of anyone making her take back the punishment, not even once.

Even Professor McGonagall's visit to her a few days ago did not change Professor Trelawney's situation of being retained for inspection.

"I just wrote a letter to the Malfoy family." Kyle said.

"It's that simple?"

"certainly."

Fred was a little unconvinced, but before he could ask any more questions, George from the other side of the corridor waved and interrupted him.

The next second, they heard a mess of footsteps.

Someone is coming.

There was no other way, Fred could only put on a vicious posture again and said loudly: "Let's wait and see, don't let us see you again!"

After that, he and George walked quickly to the other side of the corridor and left the corridor before Umbridge came over.

It was like this for the next week.

Cedric was fine, but Fred and George had to sneak around to talk to Kyle or go to the Room of Requirement after curfew.

They found it interesting at first, but over time it became boring.

"Just wait... maybe those Slytherins will go home during the Christmas vacation." Fred said after another DA gathering.

As usual, they went to see off the other students, with Kyle walking ahead of them in case anyone showed up unexpectedly.

Everything went smoothly until midnight.

Kyle was already preparing to go back, but Professor McGonagall suddenly came over and came to Kyle in front of everyone.

"Dumbledore is looking for you, come with me." Then, she took Kyle away without any explanation, leaving only a group of Slytherins standing there in panic.

"Damn it, why did the principal intervene?" A fifth-grade student couldn't help but said: "What should we do, go find Professor Umbridge?"

"No, don't move." Montague looked at the direction where Kyle was taken away, rolled his eyes, and said in a gloating tone: "Isn't it the principal? We should believe in Kyle, he will definitely be able to solve this problem. Troublesome."

"But..." The man wanted to say something else.

"So, didn't you hear what I said just now?" Mengtai took two steps forward and looked at him coldly.

Looking at the tall Meng Tai, the man immediately shook his head, "No, I didn't."

"That's good." Mrs. Montag nodded with satisfaction, "And it's already so late. It's better for us not to disturb Professor Umbridge's rest. Now, let's all go back to the common room. We can talk about anything tomorrow."

Mengtai's words were immediately agreed by some people, and they unanimously chose to hide it. As if nothing happened, they went downstairs talking and laughing.

Malfoy stayed at the back of the team. He glanced in the direction of the principal's office, a trace of confusion flashed across his expression.

But under the constant urging of Pansy and Crabbe, he finally took a deep breath and followed the others.
