Chapter 17 Stealing
Yu Wan saw that there were eleven people, which exceeded her expectations. She thought that they would be useful. Their family was too big, and it would not be much if they were divided, so she kept them.
"Manager Zhang, calculate how much silver these eleven people cost."
Manager Zhang saw that Yu Wan picked only middle-aged people, and did not pick any young people. This solved a big problem for him. Generally, people who came to buy bought young men and girls. Few people wanted middle-aged people, and the elderly could not even be given away.
He laughed: "Miss Yu, how about six taels of silver for each of these people?"
"Okay, you have to keep the strong laborers who sell the farm and grow crops for me in the future." Yu Wan planned to buy the farm after she had it. She didn't know how to do business, so she simply bought land and grew crops and became a local landlady.
"Okay, okay, I will send someone to notify you when I have it. Do you want the farm in this town?"
"Priority, if it is from other towns or counties, the county government is also OK."
"Okay, okay", Manager Zhang remembered Yu Wan's words firmly.
"Mr. Rich, you can't judge a person by appearance, and you can't measure the depth of the sea. This little girl is a hidden master." Manager Zhang sent the brother and sister out of the pawnshop with a smile, and then counted his banknotes happily.
Yu Haoran was learning how Yu Wan looked at people and how to choose people the whole time.
What he saw on this day was beyond his imagination. He didn't understand how Xiao Si'er knew so many things that had never appeared in his life.
After leaving the pawnshop, Yu Wan quickly returned to the house with nine people.
The door was not closed, and the deliveryman had just unloaded the goods. It happened that Zhu Dagui sent someone out and saw Yu Wan and his sister coming back with nine people. He was worried that no one would use them, and Yu Wan came back with people.
"It's just right, Uncle Zhu, these nine people are left to you to arrange," Yu Wan handed the people to Zhu Dagui.
"Well, good, Miss Four, you brought this person back too timely," Zhu Dagui took the person happily.
"Brother, put your bag away and go settle the bill at the inn. We will stay at our own home tonight." Yu Wan remembered that the bill at the inn had not been settled yet.
"Okay, brother, I'll go right away," Yu Haoran carried his bag and went to their second courtyard.
Yu Wan walked along the rain corridor to the third courtyard, which was almost tidied up at this time. She entered the main room, where the furniture had been arranged. There was a square table in the middle and single armchairs on both sides. About three feet away from the square table, there were two tea tables on the left and right, similar to coffee tables, and two chairs behind the tea tables.
She entered the bedroom on the right, where two people were making the bed. When they saw Yu Wan coming in, they didn't dare to breathe, and continued to work after greeting her.
Yu Wan saw that it was still early, and she had forgotten one important thing, that is, the household registration of her family. If it was impossible to ask Old Yu, he would not give it to her, so she would go and get it herself.
This matter could not be left unattended, and changes would occur later. She bought a house and a farm here, and sooner or later the people in the old house would know.
Yu Wan took advantage of the fact that it was still an hour before it got dark, and she quickly went out and ran towards Yujia Village.
Half an hour later, she arrived at Yujia Village. Smoke was curling on the roofs of every household in the village. She quietly touched the back door of the old house.
This back door was the most familiar to her. She gently pushed the door open. There was no one in the yard. It was estimated that the people in the rooms were waiting for dinner in their own rooms.
Yu Wan flashed into their original room. She thought that Yu Yangshi would not have someone clean the doghouse so quickly, so it must be empty.
Sure enough, the room was the same as before, and she flashed into the space.
The air in the space relieved her tired body today, so she simply sat on the ground and practiced the Star Jue.
After practicing for a while, Yu Wan picked a few fruits, and after eating, she started reading in the wooden house.
About an hour later, Yu Wan estimated that Old Yu's family was having dinner.
She flashed out of the space. It was already dark outside. She aimed at Old Yu's room and ran in lightly.
At dinner time, Old Yu's door was not locked. Yu Wan entered the room and began to search.
Fortunately, after practicing the Star Art to the first level, she could see as clearly in the dark as in the day.
She opened the secret compartment on the bedside table and looked at it. The household registration of the whole family was in it. She flipped through it and found that Old Yu and Yu Yang were on the same household registration paper. The people of the first room were all on one paper, and so were those of the second room. She turned to the third room and found that all the people of the third room were on one paper. This was really convenient for her. She gently took the paper and threw it into the space.
Since they were here, they must take something away. The most important thing was the ginseng. They couldn't let it go cheaply.
Yu Wan started to search again, but she didn't see the ginseng and Yu Yang's money box.
She searched everywhere in the room. Yu Wan saw that time was running out. If she was seen, she would not be able to get away.
Suddenly, a square stone at the foot of the bed seemed very clean. Yu Wan stepped forward and dug it with her hand. The stone turned over. Sure enough, there was a box about one foot long, half a foot wide and half a foot high inside.
Yu Wan saw that the box was locked. She waved her hand and the box entered the space. She gently laid the stone flat, wiped off the traces she left, and quietly slipped out of the back door.
After leaving Yujia Village, Yu Wan ran all the way and returned to the town smoothly. She guessed that her family was looking for her.
When she arrived at the door, she took out a pheasant that Yu Waner had left behind when hunting before, and then she knocked on the door. When the door opened, a bunch of people looked at her anxiously.
"Xiao Si'er, where have you been?" Yu Haoran pulled her into the door and circled around her. He saw that she was still holding a pheasant in her hand.
"Little Four, you didn't go up the mountain to catch the pheasant, did you?"
"What else? Okay, let's go back. Have you eaten?" Yu Wan asked, and she threw the pheasant to a servant.
"They are all waiting for you. They haven't eaten yet."
"Where are Little Five, Little Six, and Little Seven?" Yu Wan didn't see the three guys.
Yu Haoran: "They fell asleep before they could wait for you. They just fell asleep."
"Oh, let's go, big brother, second brother, third brother, you all go to eat. There is also food to send to my room, and there is also bath water." Yu Wan told her brothers and went back to the room.
The three brothers saw that Yu Wan had returned safely, so they also went to eat and told Zhu Dagui to arrange for someone to send her food and water.
Yu Wan returned to her room and lit the oil lamp in the room. Seeing that the layout of the room was according to her wishes, it was really good. It felt like a home.
"Miss Four, I am here to bring food and water," a voice of a maid sounded outside.
Yu Wan opened the door and asked the maid to send it in.
"Are you Wu?" Yu Wan remembered this person.
"Yes, Fourth Miss, I am Wu." Wu put down the tray, carried the water into the ear room, and stood upright beside Yu Wan.
"Well, you can stay with me from now on." Yu Wan saw that Wu was neat and tidy, and her hands and feet were quick and nimble, and she was a good worker.
