Chapter 677: The King’s Difficulties

When the king came to the main hall, he suddenly saw that all the civil and military officials in the court were bald. However, before the king could speak, the civil and military officials said to the king:

"Actually, I'm the same as you. I don't know what happened. Everyone in my palace lost their hair overnight."

The king and ministers looked at each other, then shed tears of pain, and finally came to a conclusion: "We can no longer kill monks in the future."

After the summary, the king sat on the throne, and everyone began to return to their positions. The king said again: "Since we have already agreed, if you have anything to do, just talk about it. If there is nothing, let's disband."

I saw those officers and soldiers immediately came to the king, knelt down and said to the king:

"Actually, I have one thing to say. When I was patrolling there, I saw some robbers robbing a cabinet and a group of white horses. I don't dare to make a decision without authorization, and I hope you will make the decision."

The king was very happy when he heard this and said quickly: "Bring that cabinet over quickly."

After the officials stepped back, they immediately brought the cabinet up. Tang Xuanzang said to Sun Wukong in a state of disbelief: "Wukong, what should we say to the king when we come to him now?"

However, Sun Wukong said disdainfully:

"You must not speak loudly. I have already decided that when he opens the cabinet, he will definitely become our disciple. When the time comes, just tell Zhu Bajie not to be so unreasonable."

"At that time, I didn't even care about my own life and wanted to make trouble unreasonably."

After saying this, he came to the king. After the officers and soldiers opened the cabinet, Zhu Bajie couldn't help but jump out, which frightened the officials and made them speechless.

I saw Sun Wukong helping Tang Xuanzang out, while Sha Wujing was carrying the luggage. When Zhu Bajie saw the officer and soldier holding the white dragon horse, he immediately stepped forward and said loudly: "Give me my horse quickly."

This sentence frightened the official and fell to the ground. The four people came to the king together. When the king saw the four monks, he quickly stepped down from the throne and said to the ministers:

"Elders, where did you come from? Where are you going now? Why are you here? And let me ask the most important question again, which is why are you sleeping in this cabinet?"

After hearing so many questions from the king, Tang Xuanzang patiently answered the king. He only heard Tang Xuanzang say: "The poor monk went from the Eastern Tang Dynasty to the Western Heaven Leiyin Temple to worship Buddha and seek scriptures."

"But why do you have to live in this closet? There is a room outside but you can't live in it. Do you have any unspeakable feelings?"

When the king heard this, he asked Tang Xuanzang with a puzzled look:

"I already knew you were going to kill the monk and didn't dare to come forward. I could only pretend to be a passerby and rest in the hotel nearby. But I was afraid that others would see through the truth at a glance, so I rested in the cupboard."

"But unfortunately, it was stolen by a thief, and then your servants caught me. I saw your face today, as the saying goes, spring is blooming, and I hope you can let me go."

As soon as Tang Xuanzang heard the king say this, he explained to the king without thinking.

When the king heard Tang Xuanzang's words, he immediately said to Tang Xuanzang:

"I knew that you were an eminent monk from the Kingdom of Heaven. The reason why you killed those monks before you came to meet me was because they insulted me. So I made a wish to heaven that I would kill ten thousand monks before I could stop."

"Unexpectedly, tonight we became monks. Now all our hair has fallen out. I still hope you can take me in as your disciple."

At this moment, Zhu Bajie laughed loudly and heard Zhu Bajie say: "Since you want to be our apprentice, why do you still talk so much? You must show some real actions to prove it."

However, the king said to Zhu Bajie without thinking: "If you are willing to accept me as your apprentice, then I am willing to give you all the treasures in our country."

When Sun Wukong heard this, he knew that Zhu Bajie had made this matter a big deal, and then he immediately stepped forward and said to the king:

"Since you really want to follow us, don't talk about the treasures. You just need to sort out the customs clearance documents and send us out of the city. Then we can protect your country and its people."

As soon as the king heard about it, he immediately arranged a big banquet and then summoned the customs document to pray for Tang Xuanzang to bring this country under his sect. After a while, Tang Xuanzang was asked to change the name of the country, and Sun Wukong said to the king:

"In my opinion, you might as well change the country that destroys France into a country that respects Buddhism."

"Because I feel that changing this name to something else is a bit inappropriate. It is better to change it to what I just said. This way you can protect your country's longevity."

After saying this, the king felt very happy when he heard the words, and sent Tang Xuanzang's master and apprentice outside the city.

It is said that after Tang Xuanzang left the Buddhist Kingdom, he happily said to Sun Wukong:

"Wukong, your action is very kind, and I will definitely remember your merit."

At this time, Zhu Bajie asked Sun Wukong: "Brother Monkey, where did you find the barber? He shaved so many heads in one night."

After hearing this, Sun Wukong told his master and apprentice what happened that night, and the four of them couldn't stop laughing.

When he was having fun, he suddenly saw a high mountain blocking him. Tang Xuanzang reined in his horse and said to Sun Wukong:

"Wukong, you see the mountain ahead is high and the road is steep. You must be careful."

However, Sun Wukong smiled and said: "Master, have you forgotten the Heart Sutra after reciting it for so many years?"

It would have been better if Sun Wukong hadn't said anything. This immediately aroused Tang Xuanzang's competitive spirit, and he said to Sun Wukong: "You are talking nonsense there, of course I remember it."

"If you know everything, why do you still say what you said just now?"

After speaking, Sun Wukong glanced at Tang Xuanzang, but Tang Xuanzang said to Sun Wukong helplessly: "You don't know about this matter. No matter how long I have been preparing, it is just for self-cultivation."
