Dominate the Country

Chapter 493 The Originator of Barrage Is Qianlong

In a large courtyard in downtown Shanghai, dozens of strong men with swords and guns were leaning against the walls, corners, and gates, standing upright, watching and listening, guarding the entire courtyard tightly.

In the small flower hall in the inner courtyard, the former Queen Kim of Korea, who had lived here for a month, had a solemn expression. The two people sitting in front of her were Kim Ki-jong and Ding Zai-won, who were depressed and depressed in every pore of their bodies. The Korean palace maids and eunuchs serving around them had red and swollen eyes, like homeless dogs in the water.

After a long silence, Jin, whose eyes were unconsciously red, choked up and said, "Isn't Korea respectful enough to the Han Dynasty? King Sukjong built a big altar in the back garden of Changdeok Palace. Sacrifices are held once a year. Every year, the Korean king will personally attend the sacrifice to remember the Ming Dynasty's grace of re-creating Korea. It is one of the most solemn sacrificial ceremonies in Korea.

Are we not respectful enough to the Celestial Empire?"

The "Zhongyuan Daily" greatly exaggerated several events since the decisive battle of Beijing and Tianjin. The battle of Duji was one; Feng Lian rebelled and easily captured Beijing City was one; the Fu Han Army killed people in Jizhou and built Jingguan, not to show off their martial arts, but to commemorate the people who died in Jizhou; and finally, a series of performances after Chen Ming entered Beijing!

Closing the Forbidden City and protecting the Hanlin Academy, this has nothing to do with Korea, and then offering 128 heads of Tartar traitors to Emperor Chongzhen is the news that makes the three people in front of them excited. March 19th was originally an ordinary day, but because of the death of Emperor Chongzhen, it added an extraordinary aura to this day. The audience of "Zhongyuan Daily" is so wide that once it was published, I don't know how many people suddenly realized that this day was the death anniversary of Emperor Chongzhen.

The Koreans were very excited after seeing these reports. The Fu Han Army respected the Ming Dynasty very much. And they, Korea, also respected the Ming Dynasty very much. This is a great opportunity.

However, it was useless! Jin Jizhong was rejected at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After several requests for an audience, he couldn't even see Chen Hui.

"Madam, the King of Shangguo is in poor health. The one who will inherit the throne in the future will be His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. And the Crown Prince of Shangguo holds military power and conquers the world. In military affairs, to be disrespectful, the King of Shangguo has to avoid His Royal Highness the Crown Prince." Ding Zaiyuan was already discouraged with Chen Hui and Nanjing. But what really made him despair was the hint from the Grand Commandery that the strategy of attacking the northwest first and the northeast later was set by the crown prince Chen Ming. The attack of the Fu Han army on the Qing army was only to weaken the power of the Qing army as much as possible, and to recapture the Han people who were forcibly relocated.

"Ding, Deputy Envoy, is it that we should work hard on His Royal Highness the Crown Prince?"

Ding Zaiyuan bowed and said, "Madam, we must work hard on His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of the upper country. The strategy of attacking the northwest first and the northeast later was set by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince himself, and everyone in the upper country dared not disobey. If His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of the upper country wanted to help Korea and adopted the strategy of attacking the northeast first and the northwest later, no one in Nanjing would dare to question it."

"The upper country does not want to mobilize troops in Korea immediately." Jin Shi could see that the Qing army in the northwest was a greater threat to Chen Han than the Qing army in the northeast. The latter had Shaanxi, and it was heard that the Qing army was also connected with the Russians. "His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of the Upper Kingdom holds the military power. This strategy was decided by him personally. How can the commander-in-chief of the three armies go back on his word?" Before Jin arrived in Nanjing, she knew that Chen Ming was in control of the military power in the Chen Han regime. Jin Jizhong and Ding Zaiyuan had been in Lushan and Nanjing for so many days. How could they only understand the importance of Chen Ming today? It's not that they haven't tried to get close to Chen Ming, but they just couldn't curry favor with him. In this situation, how easy is it to make Chen Ming suddenly change his attitude?

"The Han Dynasty has recovered Beijing. Our Korea was blessed by the Ming Dynasty. Naturally, we must go to worship the Emperor Shenzong of the Ming Dynasty in person."

"There is a word in the Upper Kingdom now called 'advertisement', which means to make it known widely. Our generation, following the Queen Mother, going to Beijing to worship the Ming Emperor is an 'advertisement'. It will attract the attention of the whole country and let the people of the upper country know the name of our Korea. When that time comes, we can spend money to run a newspaper to publicize the suffering of our Korea, which will surely set off a heated discussion." Ding Zaiyuan clenched his fists.

Jin Jizhong's eyes lit up as he continued, "Korea is the closest vassal of the Celestial Empire. At that time, we will write to the King of Han with the public opinion. Even if we cannot get the country to send troops to Korea immediately, we can still get more money and food relief for Korea!"

Since this year, the Fu Han Army has a certain amount of supplies and military supplies for Korea.

Food, 200,000 stones. Rice purchased from Annan and Siam is sent directly to Korea along the long coastline. Fifty thousand pieces of cotton and linen cloth, plus some military supplies such as muskets and artillery, and 500,000 silver dollars.

These things are placed in Korea. In addition to feeding the many former Korean nobles gathered in South Korea, they are also not enough to feed the Korean righteous army attached to Jeolla Province and Gyeongsang Province. There is no way to take care of the countless refugees below. Maybe the Korean nobles are also happy to see this situation. They have taken advantage of the "population trade" on both sides and have gained a lot of benefits.

In today's Korea, there is no need to worry about the lack of soldiers as there is food, so these nobles have more troops. This phenomenon has also accelerated the development of warlords and aristocratic families in Korea. It is true that Korea has always had a tradition of aristocratic families and political parties, as well as power politics. If it were in China, the positions of the "two kings" would probably not be stable.

Which Chinese monarch would feel assured that his subordinates are much stronger than himself? North Korea has this habit, but China does not.

Now these materials are of course controlled by the Fu Han Army, but Kim Ki-jong and Ding Zaiyuan, the chief and deputy envoys of North Korea, can take the initiative to report and apply, and they are slowly being integrated. Kim Ki-jong has a neutral attitude towards Eun-yeon Jun Li Qi and Yeon-ryeong Jun Li Zhen, and has no favoritism. Their current goal is more straightforward, which is to continuously expand the amount of money and grain! That will be more beneficial to North Korea!

After retreating from the yard, Kim Ki-jong's serious expression on his face gradually turned gloomy, and Ding Zaiyuan also put away his previous sad look, but his temperament became more decadent.

Standing at the intersection, the small courtyards where the two lived were in different locations, and this should be the place where they "broke up".

Ding Zaiyuan, who had not said a word all the way, finally spoke, "Sir, whether this matter succeeds or not... Ding Zaiyuan is willing to die to atone for his sins."

Jin Jizhong showed a look of crying and laughing on his face, "I am the chief, you are the deputy, how can I be absent when I am dying?"

It was a conversation that made outsiders confused, but it was certain that there must be a reason, and the Jin family in the inner courtyard didn't know it at all.

...

In the Old Summer Palace, Chen Ming did not live in the Zhengda Guangming Hall, just like the meaning of the ban on the Forbidden City, as the main hall of the Old Summer Palace, it was a symbol.

He only stayed in Jiuzhou Qingyan for one night, and the forty scenes of the Old Summer Palace made him linger. The bronze statues of the twelve zodiac animals with human bodies and animal heads that were hyped in the previous life are all absolute national treasures for China, but Chen Ming clearly saw the twelve intact bronze statues in the Haiyan Hall.

This is the largest European-style garden landscape in the Old Summer Palace. The main building of Haiyan Hall faces west, with eleven rooms on each floor. There are cascading fountains on the left and right of the building gate, and a large fountain pool under the steps. The bronze statues of the twelve zodiac animals with human bodies and animal heads are arranged in an "eight" shape on the left and right of the pool. Every twelve hours of the day and night, the twelve zodiac animals take turns to spray water. At noon, the twelve bronze statues spray spring water at the same time. These bronze statues were designed by Westerners and made in China. They integrate Eastern and Western cultures and are commonly known as "hydraulic clocks".

The twelve animal heads, which are extremely valuable in later generations, are ordinary things that are not even worth collecting in the eyes of the Qing Dynasty. When Yongcheng collected countless treasures from the Old Summer Palace and transported them out of Beijing, whether it was the Qing officials who handled the matter or Yongcheng himself, they all had a completely "invisible" attitude towards the bronze statues of the twelve zodiac animals with human bodies and animal heads.

And this kind of thing that was not seen by the Qing Dynasty was a national treasure that shocked the whole country in his previous life. After a century of humiliation, how many treasures did China lose?

After Chen Ming moved into the Old Summer Palace, he had the urge to beat up Britain and France and beat them to death with a flurry of punches.

He did not live in the Western Building. At this time, he did not think there was anything "funny" there. Chen Ming's favorite place in the Old Summer Palace was Pengdao Yaotai.

Surrounding the sea, palaces or courtyards were distributed in a sparse and dense manner, separated from each other by rivers or rockery.

The small island in the center of Fuhai, or a steep rock, was about ten feet above the water. There was a small and unique palace on the island. Standing by the water and looking at the palace, you would think it was quite small. But in fact, although the palace was small, it still had more than a hundred rooms of different sizes. The four facades were so exquisite that Chen Ming's poor Chinese skills could not describe it at all.

What he liked most was to look around on the island. He could see the palaces scattered on the shore, the rockeries extending to the waterside, the canals flowing into or out of the sea, and the bridges at the mouths of the canals. In addition, there were small pavilions or arches decorating the bridges. The scenery of Fuhai was really beautiful.

The scenery on the shore was varied, and no one place was the same as another. Here was a neat embankment made of square stones, connected to corridors, paths and roads; there was a rugged cliff with rocks piled up, which was as beautiful as one could imagine.

A beautiful high platform with palaces built on it, which could be climbed up from both sides; and on the other side of the high platform, there were pavilions and terraces, layered and gradually unfolded. There was also a gorgeous flower forest, which came into view; a little further away, there was a desolate bush, which seemed to be a scene that could only be seen in the deep mountains where few people had ever been. There are tall and straight trees that can be used as pillars, and there are trees from foreign countries; some are known for their splendid flowers, and some win with their abundant fruits.

This is the ultimate expression of Chen Ming's personal aesthetic needs. He loves this place to death.

There are countless bamboo cages or pavilions on the shore of Fuhai, half on the shore and half in the water, with various species of waterfowl. On land, you can also see animals that are free-range for viewing and small gardens for hunting from time to time.

Since the Old Summer Palace was no longer restrained, these beasts and waterfowl have suffered a great disaster. If Xiao Changchun had not led people to venture into the Old Summer Palace and roughly controlled the situation, by the time the Fu Han Army controlled the splendor here, the beasts and waterfowl in the yard would have been eaten up by the eunuchs.

Without restraint, people whose reason is about to collapse, the destructive power and bottom line are unimaginable.

Can you imagine the couplet written by Emperor Yongzheng in the Zhengda Guangming Hall, "Have the heart of heaven and work hard day and night; enjoy the joy of the people and harmonize the nature and please the emotions" being chopped into pieces, and the emperor's dragon throne being splashed with urine?

When Xiao Changchun led his men into the Old Summer Palace, he saw a pile of fire that had not been completely extinguished in the back hall, on which were two half-cooked ducks. In the broken "firewood" next to it, there was a plaque written by Qianlong, "The more you seek, the more you will achieve; the more you will nurture things, the more you will live."

The huge Old Summer Palace had no guards, and all the skilled and brave eunuchs were transferred back to the Forbidden City by the Qing Dynasty. Xiao Changchun came in with the belief that there was no life or death, but he found that the Old Summer Palace, which was leaderless and scattered, was really not dangerous at all.

In front of all the eunuchs, Xiao Changchun chopped off the heads of more than a dozen eunuchs who pointed at them and shouted "traitors", and hanged more than 30 eunuchs who were hiding and escaping one after another. They stayed in the garden for so many days, and the Qing army seemed to have really forgotten the Old Summer Palace and ignored it.

As expected, Yongcheng sent back a large number of antiques and valuable calligraphy and paintings, such as "The Admonitions of the Court Instructress" [a copy from the Tang Dynasty], "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains", the precious "Five Oxen", "Poems of Plum and Bamboo in Running Script", "Zhao Yebai", "Fish Joy", "Kangxi's Southern Tour", "Emperor Yongzheng Offering Sacrifice to the Altar of Agriculture", "Emperor Yongzheng Visiting Yong", "Four Events at the Banquet in the Frontier", "Mulan", "Deer Scouting", "Hundred Horses", "Banquet in the Purple Light Pavilion", "Equestrianism", "Banquet in the Wanshu Garden", "Ayuxi Holding a Spear to Eliminate Bandits", "Qianlong's Battle to Suppress the Zunghar and Hui Tribes", etc., as well as Wang Xizhi's "Kuaixue Shiqing Tie", Wang Xianzhi's "Mid-Autumn Tie" and Wang Xun's "Boyuan Tie", etc.

Some of these things are very good, such as the three treasures of "Sanxitang" known to the world, as well as "The Admonitions of the Court Instructress" and "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains", which are absolutely national treasures of the first level. But there are still a lot of rubbish, such as "Kangxi's Southern Tour", "Mulan", "Deer Scouting", "Hundred Horses", etc., at least in Chen Ming's opinion, they are rubbish.

When the things were delivered, Chen Ming didn't look at them much. He was not interested in "The Admonitions of the Court Ladies", but was very curious about "Fuchun Mountain Dwelling", "Five Oxen", "Kuaixue Shiqing Tie", "Mid-Autumn Tie" and "Boyuan Tie", which he knew were "destroyed" by Emperor Qianlong in his previous life.

[One Xi] of Sanxitang, Wang Xianzhi's "Mid-Autumn Tie", the first is the two words "Zhibao" written by Emperor Qianlong. Judging from Chen Ming's calligraphy level, Qianlong's two words are still good, at least better than his. ,

[Two Xi] Wang Xizhi's "Kuaixue Shiqing Tie". Emperor Qianlong cherished "Kuaixue Shiqing Tie" very much. He wrote eight small characters "Unparalleled in the world, rare in ancient and modern times" and four large characters "Divine Skill" in front of the post. Well, the word "God" is written very well. Chen Ming feels that he will never reach that level in his life.

"Kuaixue Shiqing Tie" was regarded as the first of the "Three Rare" by Emperor Qianlong. This post has only more than 20 words, but the length of Qianlong's inscription is much longer than the handwriting.

Finally, there is "Boyuan Tie", which is said to be the only surviving authentic work of the Eastern Jin Dynasty calligrapher. So how was it destroyed by Qianlong? After seeing it, Chen Ming felt that his eyes were about to be blinded, and he didn't want to say more. It felt like a pile of feces was placed on the table full of feasts!

And the "Fuchun Mountain Residence", Qianlong actually wrote all the blank spaces, and his inscriptions and seals covered the famous paintings like dark clouds, which made people drunk. It was blinding.

Xiong Bingzhang was a literati, and Feng Lian was also a literati. The two of them had no chance to get close to these handed-down calligraphy and paintings on weekdays. But now after seeing these, the two of them couldn't help trembling.

Zhao Mengjian's "Plum and Bamboo Poems in Running Script". You may not know much about this person. He was a member of the Southern Song Dynasty royal family. He had a cousin named Zhao Mengfu. Now you know it, right?

"Plum and Bamboo Poems in Running Script" is his plum and bamboo poems, which are nearly eight feet long.

Qianlong silently signed eight "at"s, namely "Imperial Study Collection Treasure", "Qianlong Imperial Viewing Treasure", "Shiqu Baoji", "Shiqu Dingjian", "Baoji Re-edited", "Qianlong Appreciation", "Sanxitang Jingjian Xi", and "Good for Descendants".

Feng Lian was an important official of the Qing Dynasty, and he had heard about the deeds of Qianlong, the "bullet screen" maniac. Seeing Chen Ming pointing at the eight seals with a sigh on his face, Feng Lian coughed and said, "Your Highness, this old minister has heard about this matter. It is said that Qianlong often used no less than 400 seals [according to research, more than 500 seals were often used. Now that Qianlong hung up early, he reduced some of them]. There are routines for appreciating calligraphy and paintings." The harm to famous paintings is very particular, not random.

"First, these calligraphy and paintings are stored in the Qianqing Palace, the Yangxin Palace, the Chonghua Palace, and the Imperial Study, so the collections in each place will be stamped with "place name + collection treasure", such as "Imperial Study Collection Treasure".

Secondly, all works that Qianlong has seen will be stamped with "Qianlong Yuguanzhibao".

Thirdly, "Shiqu Baoji" is a large-scale document compiled for the early Qianlong Dynasty. It was written in the fourth year of Qianlong. It records the famous calligraphy and paintings collected by the Qing court in various dynasties, so all collected works will be stamped with "Shiqu Baoji".

Finally, The best calligraphy and painting works will be stamped with "Qianlong Appreciation", "Sanxitang Jingjianxi" and "Yi Zisun"; moreover, the two seals "Sanxitang Jingjianxi" and "Yi Zisun" must appear in pairs and must be fixed at the lower right corner of the work - "Sanxitang" on the top and "Yi Zisun" on the bottom. "

"What about this "Five Oxen Picture"? "

Chen Ming really wanted the troops to take down Qianlong's coffin, pull it out and whip the corpse again and again. Even with his cultural level, he felt extremely unhappy when he saw it. This Qianlong was too disgusting!

This is one of the ten national treasures of China in later generations. It was created by the Tang Dynasty painter Han Huang. It is also the earliest Chinese painting on paper. The previous ones were all on silk. The whole painting exudes a strong rural life atmosphere. The five cows with different expressions are walking, standing, bowing their heads, or raising their heads. Through the different postures of the five cows and the rich color changes, each cow has a three-dimensional sense. The eyes of the cows in the painting are all bright and energetic, which can reflect the gentle but stubborn character of the cows. However, Qianlong stamped a lot of seals in a mess, sandwiched between the gaps between the two cows, filling up a small work, which made the strong rural life atmosphere in Han Huang's pen dissipate, and seriously damaged the original impression of the whole painting.

In the postscript after the picture, Zhao Mengfu believed that Han Huang intended to imitate the story of Tao Hongjing's painting of cows in the Liang Dynasty. Qianlong wrote in the poem on the painting: "One cow is tied with its head among four cows, Hongjing's high sentiments are in the imagination; the licking of the ox is not only to boast of the likeness, but to understand the people's hardship by asking about their breathing." It can be seen that Qianlong believed that "Five Oxen Picture" was not about Tao Hongjing, but was intended to show the story of Bingji, a wise minister of the Han Dynasty, who cared about the suffering of the people and asked about the cows' breathing on the road.

Qianlong's point is not to mention his own position and position, but only to talk about the inscriptions and seals. Zhao Mengshun, who wrote so well, only wrote inscriptions on the back of the picture. What about Qianlong? Not to mention the inscriptions on the front, bang bang bang, at least eight square seals were stamped, and there were some other small seals.

"What is this called? This is called not being afraid of hooligans having culture, but being afraid of hooligans having routines!" After a lot of complaints and spraying, Chen Ming felt very happy. He even thought about this idea in his mind. Should he get a few more seals?

I won’t build too many, just one or two, two or three…

It’s really exciting to hold a national treasure worth hundreds of millions in the future in your hands.
