Chapter 27 Getting on Board
"Are you the wizard apprentice who is going to board the ship?" asked the black hooded man.
"Yes, sir." Herag could feel the other party's powerful magic aura, and this was when the other party deliberately restrained himself.
"Do you have a token?" the hooded man continued to ask.
"Yes." Herag took out his ring.
The hooded man took the ring and checked it in his hand: "Well, the token of Moonlight Forest, this is the second time I have seen this ring. Come with me. Since our previous trip was delayed, we will only stay here for one day today."
"The second time..."
Herag thought of a lot of things, and he guessed that the first time should be the red-haired teacher.
It seems that the hooded man should have been on this ship many years ago.
"I'm leaving." Herag turned around and said goodbye to the three people.
"Take care!" Emil came up and hugged him tightly, and Melissa also came over to hug him.
"Let's go." The hooded man urged impatiently, turned around and left first.
Herag put on his backpack, took the package from Emil, and quickly followed the hooded man.
"My name is Dino, and I'm a first-level wizard from Dream Island. There are five floors on the ship, and you wizard apprentices live on the third and fourth floors. The conditions there are a little worse, but they are safer than above. The sea is very dangerous, so don't go up there if you have nothing to do."
While Dino was leading the way, he was also telling Herag some precautions on the ship.
"Mr. Dino, how many wizard apprentices are there on the ship?" Herag asked.
"Including you, there are eleven in total, and there are two from Coulson Continent. We'll stay here for a day and see if anyone else comes later."
Herag followed Dino to the deck. When he really stood on the deck, he found that the deck was more spacious than it looked, almost like a square.
Most of the people on the deck were busy sailors, and five or six young men and women who were scattered by the ship and blowing the wind, and they all looked about the same age as Herag.
When Herag walked onto the ship, these people all cast their eyes on him, and they all looked at him and then looked away. They seemed to have gotten used to it. Every time they arrived at a place, there would always be new wizard apprentices joining.
Dino turned back and warned: "Try not to cause conflicts on the ship, do not affect the navigation of the ship, and do not cause any damage to the hull, otherwise I will throw you down to feed the fish."
"Understood." Herag nodded.
"Follow me." Dino walked down the stairs and entered the cabin.
Herag followed him down, and his feet made a creaking sound on the wooden ladder due to its age and disrepair.
As soon as they entered the cabin, the light dimmed. There were lamps hanging on the wall, and the light was white, and the light source was white stones.
The aisle in the cabin was a little narrow. Herag noticed that the wood used for the walls of the aisle was a bit special, and these woods had a metallic luster.
He reached out and pressed it, and found that these woods were very hard.
Dino noticed Herag's move and said without looking back: "This is wood from the Forbidden Magic Forest. It is the hardest wood known so far and has extremely high magic resistance."
"Forbidden Magic Forest..." Herag tried to input a little magic power into the wall and found that it was blocked.
The two did not stop on the first floor. They went down the stairs on the first floor and came to the third floor.
"The rooms on the third floor are full. You can only go to the fourth floor."
Herag looked over the aisle. There were lights in several rooms, and some of them seemed to be empty. They should be sleeping or going for a ride on the deck.
The fourth floor is narrower than the third floor, and there are few rooms for people to live in. Herag counted that there are only five rooms for people to live in.
Dino brought Herag to a room, took out a bunch of keys, took one from the top and opened the door: "You can live here, the conditions on the fourth floor are a bit worse, but fewer people is also a good thing, less conflict, you are a first-class apprentice, right?"
"Yes."
According to the records in the Starry Sky Meditation Method, Herag needs to meditate for six stars before his mental power can reach the requirements of a second-class apprentice.
The average person has one to two points of mental power before meditation. Based on this estimate, Herag estimates that the standard mental power of a second-class apprentice is seven to eight points.
After getting confirmation, Dino said: "Then it's quite suitable for you to live here. There are second-class apprentices on the third floor, and there are more than one. Be careful."
At this time, there was light in the room opposite Herag.
Dino introduced: "The other side is also from the Coulson continent. I landed at the last port. That's it. Don't make trouble. Just wait quietly until you get to the shore. The second floor is the place to eat. If you are hungry, go by yourself. Try not to come to the deck. I don't have that much energy to take care of you."
"Well, I understand, Mr. Dino." Herag said politely.
After Dino finished giving these instructions, he left, looking very busy.
Herag looked back at his hut. It was pitch black inside. He searched for a while on the wall before he saw a lamp.
This lamp, like the ones in the corridor, is composed of a white stone and a glass cover.
There is a small gate under the stone lamp. Herag pushed the gate up and the lamp lit up, emitting a soft white light.
He pulled the gate down again, and the light went out.
"What kind of stone is this..." Herag studied it. The structure of the lamp is very simple.
A base, a gate, and then the main body composed of white stone and glass cover.
"The secret should be inside the base." Herag felt a faint flow of magic inside the base, but he couldn't open it to see, because he didn't want to be thrown off the boat to feed the fish.
After the lights came on, the room became brighter, and Herag actually felt a warm feeling in the narrow room.
There was a single bed in the room, and there was only a person's width between the bed and the wall, just enough for Herag to stand.
There was a wooden board on the wall opposite the bed, which was fixed to the wall with ropes and could be pulled down to serve as a small table.
There were two cabinets on the top of the room, which could store luggage and other things.
Herag put his package in it, and Emil and the others prepared some pickled meat, dry food and other food that could be stored for a long time.
After putting the package away, Herag lay on the single bed for a while. The bed board was hard, but it was still okay.
There was a thick quilt on the bed, and Herag reached in and touched it, which was a little damp.
Knock knock...
There was a not-so-urgent knock at the door. Herag looked at the small map and saw a person standing behind the door. Judging from her figure, she was a woman.
He opened the door and saw a girl of about sixteen or seventeen standing at the door. She had long golden hair, delicate features, and looked at him with a kind smile.
"Noble?"
Herag saw that she was wearing a light golden dress and a circle of golden tassels on her silver-gray coat. This was the standard dress of a noble, and not an ordinary little noble.
