Chapter 18 Chaos

Herag put away the pocket watch. This holy healing spell was more powerful than he had imagined.

Such a terrible blood curse was actually dispelled.

Casting a holy healing spell consumes 45% of magic power, and the remaining magic power in his body is only enough to cast it once more.

"This is..." Emil thought he was going to die.

Herag explained: "There is a spell on this pocket watch that can dispel the curse."

"So that's how it is. It seems that spells are not all that terrible." Emil's mood still hasn't recovered. Everything he just experienced is enough to become a haze for his whole life.

There are no people around, only corpses on the ground.

Other places in the castle are in chaos, with shouts and screams.

When the tree falls, the monkeys scatter.

After Baron Buck fell, in addition to the people who were originally ambushed outside, even the guards and servants in the castle were scrambling to move away the valuables in the castle.

Except for Melissa, all the blood relatives of Baron Buck's family in the entire castle are dead, so there is no master.

Melissa is still in great grief, and she doesn't know if she can get out of it in this life.

"Melissa, let's bury the Baron and others first." Emil sorted out his mood, and he didn't care about other people.

The dead are gone, and the treasure is not important. The most important thing now is to comfort Melissa.

"I'll take care of old Henry, and I'll come to you later." Herag said hello and went to the back garden.

The situation is so chaotic now, and old Henry can't move. Herag is afraid that he will be in danger.

Herag met many panicked people along the way. Many guards were holding gold bars, pearl necklaces and other things in their arms, and looked at Herag with a guilty look. Seeing that Herag didn't say anything, they quickly lowered their heads and ran away.

"Help... Don't..."

When Herag passed by a room, he found a guard raping a maid inside, and the maid's clothes were torn to pieces.

"I made you look down on me before! I pursued you but you rejected me..." The guard's face was full of anger.

Herag silently took the longbow from his back, shot an arrow through the window, and took the guard's life.

The maid who survived the disaster looked out the window panting, and only saw Herag's back leaving.

A strong smell of blood rose in the room. The maid fled here with her chest covered, and the guard fell on his back in a pool of blood.

Such scenes happened in various places in the castle, and it was a mess.

Herag also saw the body of a guard on the way to the back garden. There were some pearls scattered next to the body. It was obviously because of a fight over property.

Someone ran out of the back garden in a hurry. Herag took a closer look and found that it was Mary who took care of old Henry.

"Mary!" Herag roared.

Mary trembled with fear, and when she saw Herag, she looked even more panicked and ran away.

How could an old lady like her run faster than Herag? Herag caught up with her in two steps.

"Why are you running? Where's old Henry?" Herag questioned.

Mary's eyes flickered, and she didn't dare to look at Herag: "He... he fell asleep."

"Asleep? Come in with me." Herag held Mary's neck and walked into the back garden.

Inside the house, the bow was still hanging on the wall, and old Henry was lying on the bed, looking like he was asleep.

There was a glass of wine next to the bed, which looked like the wine distributed today.

When Herag approached, he found that old Henry had no breath.

"How did he die?" Herag asked.

"He... he..." Mary was so nervous that she stuttered, "He drank a glass of wedding wine in the morning, and then fell asleep, and I didn't care. Later, there was a commotion in the castle, and I went to call him, only to find that he had passed away."

"Deep Blue, test the cause of death."

"Test completed, natural death, ruled out the possibility of homicide."

Herag felt a little better, at least he left without pain.

"You go." Herag let go of Mary.

Mary kept looking at Herag as she backed away, fearing that he would suddenly kill people.

There were footsteps of many people outside the house, and a voice that Herag was familiar with.

"Melissa is not dead, and I don't know why she is not dead. Let's go, I'll lead the way, and now there is only Emile beside her. Master David, you can ride on the daughter of your enemy and ravage her tonight."

"Butler Ivan's voice." Herag touched the back garden and jumped onto the roof to observe.

Ivan followed a blond young man with a flattering expression, and there was a team of fully armed people behind them.

There were four knight-level strongmen in this group.

Herag quickly rushed to the square where the banquet was held along the roof. Emile and Melissa had just cleaned up the bodies of their tribesmen.

"Emile, Ivan brought..." Herag told him what he saw.

"David? It should be Simon's eldest son. I want to kill him!" Melissa was excited.

Emil hugged her and said, "Hide first. Herag and I will handle this matter."

Melissa calmed down at this time: "I'll wait for you."

She knew she couldn't help much, so she forced herself to calm down.

Herag jumped onto the roof and found a suitable sniper position.

Emile lurked on another rooftop and responded to the situation.

David walked in with a group of people, his face full of pride.

Once the great knight Baron Buck died, he thought that no one could threaten him.

"Our two families have been fighting for hundreds of years, and we won in the end, hahaha!" David couldn't help laughing.

They only sacrificed one person, but Buck's side was completely wiped out.

Herag hid on a roof far away, the bowstring was pulled tight, and the arrow was shining with a cold light.

For safety, he also poisoned the arrow.

The arrow flew out with a whoosh, and David, who was still laughing, was completely unaware of the danger.

The knight behind him felt a little dangerous, but didn't know where the danger came from.

The knight raised his hand and was about to remind David: "Master..."

An arrow shot through David's throat, and blood spurted out.

"Master!" Four knights quickly surrounded David to protect him.

But it was too late to save the situation. David pointed his finger at the sky and collapsed without saying a word.

"Uh..."

Butler Ivan covered his throat in horror, blood bubbles came out of his mouth, and he fell down.

"Hide!" Someone shouted.

The crowd began to disperse and look for shelter.

At this moment, Emil came down from the roof, and Helag assisted with long-range firepower. They were already very familiar with each other.

With Helag's 100% accurate archery skills and Emil's strong melee ability, this group of people was no match at all.

After only ten minutes, Helag put away the fine steel bow and cleaned up the battlefield with Emil to prevent those who were not completely dead.
