Chapter 1289: Hot and Cold Hell, No Escape
Reincarnation comes and goes, lives and dies, just like the rotation of a wheel, repeating in these six paths, with no end, hence the name Six Paths of Reincarnation.
In the Six Paths of Reincarnation constructed by Buddhism, only Buddha, Bodhisattva, and Arhat can jump out of the Three Realms and enter the Heavenly Path, where their souls are immortal and they reincarnate for hundreds of lifetimes.
And now, Wu Yi has entered the Hell Path. Among the Six Paths, as we all know, the suffering in the Hell Path is the worst.
One thing worth mentioning is that the beings in the Hell Path are not born from the mother's womb, nor from eggs, but are born from transformation.
What does this mean? Once you fall into the Hell Path, you will never be able to escape from it, and you will continue to reincarnate in hell for generations, suffering from difficulties from generation to generation until your karma is eliminated.
Buddhism deepened or perfected the Hell Path. Under the Buddhist system, the Hell Path is just a general term. In fact, it can be subdivided into four major parts: the Eight Hot Hells, the Eight Cold Hells, the Near-Boundary Hells, and the Solitary Hells.
Except for the solitary hell, all other hells are created by the collective karma of sentient beings. Those who commit the most serious evil karma will be reborn in the hell realm, and it will take endless years to leave the suffering of this realm.
Sentient beings reborn in the eight hot hells suffer all kinds of great suffering. In some hot hells, sentient beings will kill each other, but they will not die. They can only endure the pain of being killed for years and months, and they are completely unable to escape.
In other hells, sentient beings will be burned until smoke comes out of their seven orifices, or they will be dismembered, or they will be put into molten copper and boiled until their skin and flesh are rotten. These are the miserable conditions that are created when the past evil karma matures, and they are extremely painful.
In the eight cold hells, sentient beings suffer from different degrees of cold pain, and they may even be frozen and stiff for hundreds of kalpas, but they will not die because their karma has not been exhausted.
Wu Yi first fell into the eight hot hells. The eight hot hells in Buddhism are the same, but there are different opinions on what the specific eight hot hells are. In different realms, different types of hells will naturally evolve according to the accumulation of karma and the gathering of calamity.
In fact, there is no need to worry about which eight hot hells are. There is not much significance. In different realms, not to mention that the hells are different, even the number may not be consistent. There are nine hells and ten hells.
The Buddhist scriptures explain it this way, but it may not be in line with the principles of heaven and earth. Problems are inevitable. Even saints have omissions, so what is a Buddhist scripture.
There is no constant principle in the world, and there is no unchanging thing. This must be known. Don't take the scriptures as a criterion and worship them as gods.
Perhaps because the six reincarnations of the West Sea were first built, there are not many horrific torture instruments in hell, even the raging fire is ordinary, and it did not make Wu Yi feel very uncomfortable, just like a breeze blowing, not worth mentioning.
But as time went by, just like boiling a frog in warm water, Wu Yi's heart was filled with nameless fire from the inside out. Once it burned, it hurt to the bone.
The most unbearable result was that at this time, every pore was open, thousands of times more sensitive, and the slightest pain was no less than a thousand cuts.
Wu Yi frowned, and the nameless fire burned in his heart. He didn't know where it came from, and he didn't know when it would burn. There was no sign of stopping.
As the nameless fire continued to burn, even though he kept reminding himself to keep it pure, he couldn't help but feel resentful towards the reincarnation lotus. He had worked so hard to build the West Sea to the current situation, but the other party inherited the destiny of heaven and earth and snatched it away so easily. It was extremely hateful.
As the resentment deepened, the fire burned more and more, almost burning Wu Yi's soul and body from the inside out.
What happened next was that Wu Yi's body was burned to dust by the fire of karma, leaving only a little remnant soul to reincarnate in the hell.
Among the six reincarnations, the hell and the heaven are two special reincarnation channels, both of which are transformed, that is, people in the hell can only reincarnate in the hell, and people in the heaven will always reincarnate in the heaven. In order to maintain their status, the Buddhist sect has exhausted its efforts.
Wu Yi's remnant soul began a new round of reincarnation, and his consciousness was extremely clear, and he did not lose his reason at all because of the so-called reincarnation.
In this way, the soul and body of the human body were roasted by the raging fire, and the essence and blood disappeared, getting closer and closer to death. Although it can be restrained in the process of reincarnation, it will consume more than half every time it reincarnates, and it is impossible to reincarnate.
In comparison, the Buddhas who reincarnate in the heavenly way, every time they reincarnate, their souls become more stable and powerful.
Many people think that reincarnation in hell can temper themselves, and after tens of millions of years, their strength will be better than before. It cannot be said that there are no such examples, but it can only be said that there are very few. After entering hell, most people, even real dragons, will be refined into loaches and beg for mercy.
When Buddhism suppressed the demons, it used this method. Otherwise, you think that the eight real dragons have such good tempers and no arrogance. They have been tempered and their sharpness has gone, and they are willing to be running dogs of Buddhism.
In the first hell of the eight hot hells, Wu Yi has reincarnated countless times. At first, in extreme resentment, Wu Yi would still remember how much time has passed, but with reincarnation after reincarnation, Wu Yi was exhausted and no longer had much will to remember these.
As the fire burned his body and burned his soul, as time went by, Wu Yi's resentment not only did not weaken, but it also strengthened.
Next, after Wu Yi had gotten used to the eight hot hells, the hell environment changed and became extremely cold. At the same time, poisonous blisters of various sizes appeared on Wu Yi's body, which were light in color at first, then turned blue-black, and finally purple-black.
As the cold air continued to invade, when the poisonous blisters turned pure black, they would burst open, and pus would flow out of the blisters, and the essence would be consumed again. When the essence was drained away, the body would become a shell, and the soul would also be exhausted and flicker in the punishments.
In this way, Wu Yi began his reincarnation in one of the eight cold hells - the Hell of Blisters.
Although Wu Yi's mind became stronger after reincarnation, the loss of essence and energy in his body and the decline of his soul's spiritual consciousness were visible to the naked eye. If he was trapped here for a long time, he would definitely die.
But how could he escape? Now, the lotus of reincarnation that was born in accordance with heaven and earth is controlling the six realms of reincarnation!
