Chapter 619 Fudge's Letter
When it was Friday, the weather was still as cold and damp as the previous few days. It had been raining all day, but the Hufflepuff Quidditch players had not missed any training.
As Fred said, Cedric was becoming more and more like Oliver Wood. Even if it was a rainstorm, he probably would not stop training.
At 8:30 in the evening, everyone returned to the warm common room tiredly.
Kyle took off the waterproof and moisture-proof badge on his clothes and took a sip of the hot cocoa that Connor had prepared on the table.
Cedric also had a cup of hot tea in his hand, but he had just taken it from the kitchen.
"Tomorrow is Hogsmeade Visit Day." Mida Ancona, the newly joined third-year goalkeeper, took off the badge on his clothes and kept it properly before asking, "How is it there? I haven't been there yet."
In school, only students above the third grade are allowed to visit Hogsmeade on fixed weekends. Children who are too young can only stay in the castle.
"Very interesting." Cedric said, "I suggest you go to Honeydukes first. It is the most popular store in Hogsmeade and is always crowded with people."
"Devisbans is also good." Connor suggested, "You can buy a lot of interesting magic items there, such as shorthand quills and parchment that can be written repeatedly."
"Of course, if you like something less conventional, you can't miss Zonko. Kyle said.
"Then go to the Three Broomsticks for a cup of butter beer." Someone else suggested, "You must try it, there is also pumpkin soda, cherry honey soda, which is much better than the pumpkin juice in school. "
Midaan's eyes sparkled, and he wished he could fly to Hogsmeade right now.
Then, the topic naturally shifted from training to Hogsmeade.
Unlike Midaan, seniors like Kyle and Cedric had been there many times. Plus, there were only a few shops, and they had been there countless times, so the novelty had long since worn off.
Most of the time, they were recommending travel guides to Midaan and another new third-year team member, telling them which shop was more worth visiting.
The most common ones were Honeydukes and the Three Broomsticks, both of which were related to food.
Kyle had another place to recommend, which was the Shrieking Shack.
Sirius had bought the place earlier, and was going to open a new one with Lupin. Shop.
However, because of Voldemort's resurrection, their plan was disrupted. Now Lupin has a lot of things to do, and Sirius was taken away by the Ministry of Magic for investigation.
Therefore, the Shrieking Shack, which had just been renovated, was put on hold, and no one knew when it would reopen.
When it was almost ten o'clock, everyone who was sleepy returned to their dormitories.
At breakfast the next day, most of the little wizards were excitedly discussing the upcoming Hogsmeade in the hall, and had planned what to buy first.
However, Cedric, a seventh-year student, was not very interested in this. He did not plan to go this time, but decided to stay in the castle and take advantage of the opportunity of everyone going to visit to train more on the court.
Other colleges are easy to say, Cedric was confident that he could beat them, with the exception of Gryffindor.
Harry's Firebolt was too threatening to ignore. Although Kyle also had the same broom, they were in different positions.
Kyle was a chaser and needed to rely on goals to slowly gain an advantage, but Harry was a seeker. As long as he caught the Snitch, the game was over.
Although they had successfully delayed Harry's Firebolt once with an unexpected plan a year ago, it was because they were caught off guard.
Now that they were prepared, the same plan could not be used a second time... Harry was not that stupid, and he must have figured out a way to crack it.
So they had to think of other ways...
On the other hand, Kyle had not planned to go. Hogsmeade.
But he didn't go there for Quidditch, but because he didn't have any shops he wanted to go to, so he might as well stay in the common room and play some wizard chess.
Kyle originally thought so, but when breakfast was almost over, a brown barn owl brought him a short letter.
There was only one sentence in the letter.
[See you at the Three Broomsticks]
There was nothing else, including the name of the sender.
Just when Kyle was wondering who sent it, he suddenly noticed that Umbridge was looking at him in the classroom.
Now, Kyle understood.
He was still thinking last night that it had been a week since the last detention, but there was no movement from the Ministry of Magic. He thought Fudge could really keep his cool, but he didn't expect to receive a letter today.
So, after breakfast, Kyle went to the entrance hall with others, and Professor McGonagall and Umbridge took them to Hogsmeade.
"Didn't you say you weren't going to Hogsmeade today?" Connor asked curiously as they walked on the grounds, "Why did you suddenly change your mind?"
"I'm going to see someone," Kyle said.
"Who, Professor Black?"
"No." Kyle shook his head, "You'll know when you get there."
Seeing Kyle's mysterious look, Connor didn't ask any more questions.
After arriving at Hogsmeade, Kyle went straight to the Three Broomsticks. Because he came early, there were not many people here, including Fudge.
Generally speaking, everyone would use this place as a resting place and come to have a drink when they were tired of playing.
Kyle ordered a pumpkin soda and sat next to an empty table to drink while waiting.
About half an hour later, the door of the Three Broomsticks was pushed open.
"Oh, Mr. Minister..." Ms. Rosmerta exclaimed, "How do you have time to come to Hogsmeade."
"Of course I miss your red currant rum. To be honest, I want to have a sip every time I get off work."
"Thank you for your compliment, Mr. Minister." Ms. Rosmerta seemed very happy. She turned her head and looked at Umbridge who followed her.
"So, Professor Umbridge, what about you?"
"Mead with cherry syrup." Umbridge said in a coquettish voice.
Kyle, who was sitting on the side, could clearly see that Madam Rosmerta was tightly holding a cup under the bar with her hands, and she barely maintained her expression on her face.
"Please wait a moment," she said, and then turned around to leave.
Because there were not many people in the bar, Fudge naturally came to Kyle's table.
"Long time no see, Kyle." He greeted enthusiastically, as if they really met by chance. "Last year, you defeated Beauxbatons and Durmstrang in the Triwizard Tournament. It was a great job. To be honest, we haven't won honors in such international competitions for a long time."
"This is what I should do, Mr. Minister." Kyle said.
Connor, who was on the side, looked at Kyle, and then at Fudge, who was hesitant to speak, and suddenly understood something.
"I'll go buy some candy." She stood up and said, and then left the bar.
"What a smart girl." Fudge walked to her previous seat and sat down, took off the striped hat and put it aside.
Umbridge also sat on the other side.
"Kanna has always been smart," Kyle said with a smile.
