Chapter 852: Prospective Guest

The provocation method was naturally not very effective for Wu Yi, and Wu Yi almost ignored it completely.

Seeing that Wu Yi was still hesitant, Yuan Rongyi continued: "Daoyou, just treat this as a transaction, or just make friends, both sides get what they need."

"In this case, I would rather obey your order than be respectful." Wu Yi said.

Yuan Rongyi smiled and joked: "In ancient times, it took 9981 years to refine the elixir, and now I have 9981 words of advice to Daoyou!"

"Daoyou is humorous." Wu Yi also said jokingly.

The previous transaction was completed, and they became allies temporarily. The most critical part of the interests was discussed clearly. The series of words that followed were just flattery for each other. Anyway, it would not be a loss to say more good things.

The only teleportation array of Liuchen Temple in Wuzhao is the one in Guizhao, so the next step is the process of returning by the original route. There were some twists and turns, but overall it was safe. Wu Yi and Yuan Rongyi returned to Liuchen Temple smoothly.

After returning to the Six Dusts Temple, Yuan Rongyi said to Wu Yi: "This time, the Zhidu Masters recommended you as a guest official. When the time comes, he will personally grant you this position. A small water and land ceremony will be held."

"During the water and land ceremony, there may be some monks who challenge you. You can choose a few weak ones to respond. Although losing will not affect your position as a guest official, it will still leave a quarrel, which is not good."

Although Yuan Rongyi said it carefully, in fact, Yuan Rongyi has reminded Wu Yi of this several times, fearing that Wu Yi has a bad memory and Wu Yi's ears are about to grow calluses.

Yuan Rongyi's intention is just to worry that Wu Yi will not be able to get angry, challenge many people, and finally have insufficient magic power, or directly fight against the strongest person and lose.

If Wu Yi loses, he will not be able to get off the stage and is unwilling to accept the position of guest official. Yuan Rongyi does not want to see this result.

To be honest, Yuan Rongyi's suggestion is very hurtful, because it clearly shows his lack of trust in Wu Yi's strength.

Wu Yi promised Yuan Rongyi that he would not force himself to stand out, just like before. On the one hand, it was to appease Yuan Rongyi's emotions, and on the other hand, it was because Wu Yi was good at hiding his shortcomings. If it was not necessary, there was no need to force himself to stand out.

Wu Yi didn't really care about some meaningless reputation. All the current efforts were for more gains in the future.

This is Wu Yi's way of dealing with the world. In a nutshell: don't release the eagle before you see the rabbit.

When he came to the ancestral temple of Liuchen Temple, Wu Yi was a guest last time, just thinking of borrowing the way. He just took a quick look at the many scenes of Liuchen Temple. Since he would not come again, he just gained some experience and was not very careful.

Now, he is about to receive the position of guest official of Liuchen Temple, so he should know more or less about the personnel composition of Liuchen Temple and the distribution of disciples and forces.

According to the example of Liuchen Temple, anyone who wants to be a guest official must go through the gates of the mountain. The last time, Yuan Rongyi led Wu Yi here. The scenery was not majestic, but friendly and natural. But this time, it was completely different.

The gate of Liuchen Temple is called Luoxiao Mountain, with its top touching the sky and Hanzhong, and its roots connected to the veins of Mount Xumi. The peaks are arranged in a clever way, and the rocks are uneven. There are jade grass and flowers under the cliff, and purple ganoderma and fragrant orchids beside the winding path. The fairy monkey picks fruit in the peach forest, but it looks like fire burning gold; the white crane sacrifices to the pine branches, like smoke holding jade.

Looking up from the bottom of the mountain, there is no road at all, or in other words, this road is not in reality, but in the heart. If you have a road in your heart, then everywhere is the road. If there is no road in your heart, it is a cliff that is difficult for birds to cross.

This is the first level: the heart road level.

Yuan Rongyi had already told Wu Yi the tricks of the checkpoints. He didn't need to spend time polishing it. Simply imagining the road in the sea of consciousness was useless. He needed to play the role of the sixth of the six dusts, that is, the dust of mind.

The checkpoints were just a form. Wu Yi was not coming as an enemy. He could just play the role of the dust of mind. Therefore, Wu Yi easily found the path and entered the mountain gate.

After that, there were fine wines and delicacies, or soft jade and warm fragrance, or the pleasant sound of stringed instruments, or delicate and warm, or...

Wu Yi went through all the six dusts, eyes, ears, mouth, tongue, body and mind. He had comprehended the Dao rhyme of the great way of tranquility. Among his peers, he had the strongest resistance to these temptations.

At the same time, Yuan Rongyi had already told him the tricks of these checkpoints when he came. It was completely an open-book exam. If he failed, Wu Yi would not be embarrassed to take the position of guest official.

After passing all six levels, Yuan Rongyi was waiting for him at the end. After congratulating him, he ordered a monk to lead Wu Yi to his residence. At this moment, Yuan Rongyi separated from Wu Yi and saluted, saying, "Daoyou, see you at the Dharma Assembly." Wu Yi returned the salute without mentioning it.

The monk led Wu Yi through the palaces, where he saw the golden light of precious flames shining brightly, the exotic fragrances and rare products lined up like a forest, the thousand-story golden pavilion, infinitely beautiful, and the clear sound of immortals.

Finally, the monk led Wu Yi to a solitary mountain. The solitary mountain does not mean that there is only one mountain here, but it proves that the mountain is high, with rugged mountains rising to the sky, and the mountains are steep and towering, almost competing with the main peak Luoxiao Mountain for height.

Riding up the clouds, the strange rocks are piled up like a sitting tiger, and the pine trees are hanging diagonally like a flying dragon. The birds on the ridge sing beautifully, and the plum blossoms in front of the cliff are fragrant.

There are many creatures, and animals thrive. There is little killing. Fierce animals such as wolves, tigers, and leopards also cultivate Buddha essence and do not live on blood. Therefore, it is very peaceful, which makes people calm down from the bottom of their hearts.

There are many thatched houses on this mountain, all of which are simply decorated. However, in their simplicity, they are well integrated with the surrounding environment and in harmony with the heaven and earth. For those who truly practice Taoism, it is a holy place for cultivation.

Some huts have the breath of monks, and some huts do not have the breath of monks, but there are causal seals left by monks, indicating that this place is owned by an owner.

There are also some huts that have neither monks living in them nor causal seals. Wu Yi can live in these huts. The Zhidu Master did not give Wu Yi the guest seal, so Wu Yi can only say that he is staying temporarily.

Wu Yi chose an ownerless hut near a cliff. Here you can have a panoramic view of the mountains and the field of vision is extremely wide. However, it may be because of the remote location and the cliff is just outside the door, so no one chooses this place.

From this moment on, Wu Yi also temporarily lived in the Liuchen Temple as a quasi-guest, waiting for the start of the water and land ceremony.

The Zhidu Master wanted to accept a Taoist priest in the cave realm as a guest. The matter was very simple. There were at least eighty guest officials in the Liuchen Temple, if not one hundred.

The vast majority had nothing to do with ordinary monks. They would not care who the guest was or what kind of cultivation the guest had. Even if they knew, they would be indifferent.

It's just that things have changed a little during this special period.
