Chapter 861 Compassion
May this merit be used to adorn the Pure Land of Buddha, repay the fourfold grace, and relieve the sufferings of the three paths.
May all sentient beings who are trapped in the world develop the Bodhi mind, and after this life, be reborn in the Pure Land together.
Wu Yi kept circulating these words in his sea of consciousness. With his cultivation in the cave, he could recite them by heart, and even recite them in sequence, with ease.
However, no matter how good he was in private, he could not recite them, and it was useless. Wu Yi was still in trouble and could not extricate himself.
In fact, Wu Yi also understood the reason in his heart. He regarded this method as a fighting technique, but abandoned its glorious and righteous way to influence the world. This was like picking up sesame seeds and throwing away watermelons.
However, in the ordinary time, wanting to have such a compassionate heart was as difficult as ascending to heaven for Wu Yi, and he did recall those things that moved him.
The golden light of merit was defeated again and again, and Wu Yi became more and more embarrassed. The ghost in the martial arts hall was full of twisted pleasure in his eyes. It was disdain, arrogance, contempt, and the pleasure of revenge.
The first few thoughts were easy to understand, but Wu Yi was puzzled by the last one. He had always been at a disadvantage and had never humiliated this ghost. Why did he feel the pleasure of revenge?
This ghost evolved in the martial arts hall. All emotions should be simulated. Is there another hidden story? Wu Yi thought so in his heart, and the more he thought, the more Wu Yi felt that there was another possibility.
Maybe the ghost fighting with him was not completely transformed!
There should be some powerful people suppressed under this martial arts hall, perhaps ghosts, perhaps Shura, perhaps Yaksha, or even rebellious Buddhist disciples. In this way, it can explain why almost all types of opponents can be found in the martial arts hall.
The ghost that appeared in front of them should be one of them. If this conjecture is true, then this martial arts hall is a huge prison.
What they hate is not the challenger like Wu Yi, but the majestic Buddhist artifact of the martial arts hall, which was the one who suppressed them here. However, this resentment cannot be vented on the martial arts hall, and can only be directed at challengers like Wu Yi.
After being suppressed for many years, their hearts have long been twisted. They are just waiting to die in the martial arts hall. In order to retaliate, they use all kinds of perverted means to torture these challengers and bring great fear to the challengers.
It is very strange that after realizing the real secret of the martial arts hall, Wu Yi's anger about being chased and beaten by ghosts before gradually faded, and a trace of compassion arose, thinking that they were pitiful.
Coincidentally, it was this trace of compassion that the second sentence of the forty-word mantra "Dignified Buddha Pure Land" that he could not say before came out naturally, and even Wu Yi did not understand what happened at the first time.
As soon as these words came out, the Buddha's light on Wu Yi's body blazed brightly, which was several times stronger than before. The golden light of merit spread out, creating a Buddha's Pure Land. This scene was originally dark and gloomy, with howling winds, but at this moment, darkness and light coexisted, and the center of light was where Wu Yi was.
Around Wu Yi, various Sanskrit words emerged, some of which were bright and visible, and some were dim and unclear. The collision of Sanskrit words would make various different sounds, and the collision of tens of millions of Sanskrit words would be a rolling Sanskrit chant, as if tens of millions of Buddhists were chanting Buddhist scriptures, shaking the heavens, and the scene was extremely shocking.
Wu Yi, who had been at a disadvantage, took advantage of the situation to turn the tables, and the Buddha's light continued to spread out. This magical power would only become more and more powerful as the Sanskrit chanting progressed. If you want to restrain it, you must be the first to interrupt it.
The Pure Land realm extended, and all evil thoughts such as evil, greed, anger, and ignorance were eliminated. The ghost had no range to move. Wu Yi solved the battle cleanly and neatly, and suppressed the ghost in front of him.
Buddha's light was lingering, the hazy yin energy dissipated, and what appeared in front of Wu Yi was a pale and weak face, but it was extremely ferocious, with fangs in its mouth, and a pair of blood-red pupils staring at Wu Yi fiercely.
He understood that Wu Yi might torture him like he had tortured other disciples of Liuchen Temple in the past. It was just a tit-for-tat, and at most he would die. What was there to be afraid of?
Knowing the situation these people were in, Wu Yi's sympathy had not yet dissipated, and he said: "You can't hear what I say, but you should understand my words through lip reading."
The mode of the martial arts hall is to create a false space, through various means, so that the two sides of the battle can maintain their original state and simulate the battle to the maximum extent, similar to controlling a clone that is not inferior to oneself to fight. The destruction of the clone has little effect on the self, but it may leave a psychological shadow.
In this mode, the two sides cannot hear each other talking, and Wu Yi doesn't know why. Maybe the martial arts hall is trying not to expose its secrets! But through lip reading, it is still possible to sense what they are saying.
In a fight where it’s either you or me, how many people would observe the other person’s lip language? Many people don’t think the opponent is a real living being, just an illusion, and there is no basis for a common dialogue.
At this moment, Wu Yi suppressed the ghost and said the previous conversation. The other party’s eyes flickered for a moment, and it was obvious that he understood Wu Yi’s meaning, but he didn’t respond.
“Can you tell me how you were suppressed here?”
The other party’s eyes were full of distrust, and he simply closed his eyes and said nothing, as if he was going to kill you and cut you up, whatever you want.
The attitude of the other party was not surprising. He was suppressed by the Liuchen Guan people. A Liuchen Guan disciple appeared (Wu Yi defeated him with Buddhism. In the eyes of ghosts, Wu Yi was naturally a Liuchen Guan person) and asked him this question. It was more like deliberately humiliating him.
"The Buddhist teachings I practice may be able to save you from this sea of suffering. Do you really want to sink here forever?"
silence.
"Do you have any relatives? You are suppressed here. Don't you miss them?"
Silence plus one.
"Have you been taught by someone? Don't you want to repay your master's kindness?"
Silence plus two.
…
Because of that trace of compassion, Wu Yi was like an old woman, nagging non-stop, looking for a way out for him, trying to impress him, but all the words were like a mud cow drowning in the sea, without getting a single response. Not even a ripple appeared.
After all, Wu Yi only had a trace of compassion. Continuous failures gave Wu Yi a sense of frustration. At the same time, there was also a trace of "This dog is so rude and it's not my problem. I was kind enough to help him, but he didn't." "You pay attention to me, but you don't know how to praise me." Similar thoughts emerged.
Without the support of that compassionate heart, the Pure Land of Buddha's Light gradually disappeared, and this attempt was about to fail.
