Chapter 773 Lightning and Illusion
One month ago, in the jungle of South Asia.
This is the border of three poor small Asian countries, covered by a large tropical jungle.
This jungle maintains its original ecological landscape and has a complex terrain. Many illegal smuggling groups and some warlords who have established their own hills hide in it, making it an enclave of lawless lunatics.
The warlords built a small dirt road to facilitate their jeeps and trucks to shuttle through the forest. In the dark forest outside the dirt road, there are thorny plants and dangerous swamps that grow to chest height.
Birds, beasts and insects are chirping, and red light penetrates through the dense forest, adding a bit of weirdness and horror to this dangerous primitive jungle.
The two women moved forward in the wet mud, with waist-deep rain and wet mud smeared on their skin.
Shreli cursed all the way. She transformed into a set of purple tights and wrapped herself tightly. Her purple hair was tied in a ponytail. She suddenly screamed, and Xu Jing turned around and glared at him.
"Some disgusting thing swam between my legs!" Shreli frowned.
The waterlogged pool was not very deep, only reaching the waists of the two women. However, they had to push aside the thorny weeds growing under the water to barely sneak through. But it was hard to say what was under the water. Just now, a slippery unknown underwater creature swam under Shreli.
"Your beautiful clothes don't have holes, what are you afraid of?" Xu Jing said.
"It's fucking disgusting! Why do you have to walk in such a broken place?" Shreli said angrily.
The grass leaves slid on Xu Jing's arm, leaving a blood thread, but soon, the wound disappeared.
"We are not here to travel. Also, if you keep yelling like this, I will discharge electricity in the water!" Xu Jing threatened.
"Okay... okay, you have the final say." Shreli shook her head.
Xu Jing did not let Shreli use magic to put on a shell for herself. She wore the outdoor survival equipment prepared by Li Moyang for the two of them. Her long black hair was tied into a ponytail, and her two strong arms were exposed, looking very capable.
"I'm not complaining, I just think... since we are witches, why do we have to roll in the mud like the Navy SEALs? You see, we can all fly, we just need to fly to the sky, we can easily find the camp of those psychopaths, dealing with them is a piece of cake." Shreli said.
"It can be seen that you are really a young lady who got power by chance, and you think so naively." Xu Jing sighed.
"Why do you talk like Chen Ke, I am the strongest among the witches." Shreli was a little dissatisfied.
"Do you know that there are dozens of camps of warlords and smuggling groups hidden in this forest, and they have heavy anti-aircraft firepower. Not only that, these people built their camps under the dense forest, and you can't see anything in the sky." Xu Jing said.
Shreli hadn't thought about this, and was suddenly speechless by what Xu Jing said.
"Then, guess what will happen if you fly up? You will be blown down by several anti-aircraft bombs, and then taken back by those men to be fucked into a fool. When they find that your wounds can heal automatically, you will be able to experience something more exciting." Xu Jing sarcastically.
"Maybe you are right, but do they have the ability to imprison a witch?" Shreli was still unconvinced.
"This forest is not that simple. The guys who can gain a foothold here are not simple. Don't underestimate your enemies. Moreover, any action related to saving hostages will never be so easy." Xu Jing said.
"I know... Shen Yun, the woman was caught." Shreli sighed very boredly.
"If we are exposed, she will be killed." Xu Jing said.
The two walked forward for a few minutes in silence. Li Moyang's intelligence showed that the organization behind the recent attacks on the spiritual products and factories under Wuan Heavy Industry was hiding in this forest, and they exposed two coordinates in the last communication.
One in the forest and one on the sea.
A few days ago, Shen Yun and a team of agents went to this forest to investigate, and have lost contact since then.
"I don't understand, she is just a... secretary? Or what? If she dies, can't we just recruit another one? Could she be Li Moyang's..." Shreli followed Xu Jing and couldn't calm down.
"If one day, Chen Ke thinks you can also be replaced, what will you do when he wants your power back?" Xu Jing asked back.
"I will give it back to him." Shreli replied.
Xu Jing stopped and looked back at Shreli. Under the red moonlight, the expression on Shreli's face was nothing special.
"What are you looking at?" Shreli asked.
"Nothing. We are almost there." Xu Jing shrugged.
The high ground on the side of the pond was covered with dead branches and rotten trees. The two women climbed up by grabbing branches, then lay in the mud, peeling off the grass and broad leaves in front of them, and saw a dirt road winding down, and a small camp was in full view.
Xu Jing took out the waterproof PDA, opened the map and looked at it. This is it.
Shreli was also lying in the mud, with a look of disgust on her face, but she could do nothing about it, with mud spots still on her face. Xu Jing put away her PDA, took out her binoculars, and looked towards the camp.
Five...six, seven...eight, nine. She silently counted the number of buildings.
This camp was not large, with a small dirt road connecting nine wooden buildings in a row. There was a machine gun mounted in the sentry tower behind the gate, and four jeeps were parked in front of the largest wooden building. There were people moving around in the camp, all soldiers in simple military uniforms.
"The signal was sent from here, and they should have lost contact here as well." Xu Jing whispered.
"What are you waiting for? Let them see..." Shreli was about to get up when Xu Jing pulled her back.
"Wait a minute, something is wrong." Xu Jing shook her head.
"What do you think, Miss Agent?" Shreli sighed.
"It looks like this is just an ordinary Southeast Asian warlord camp, and it's a very small one..." Xu Jing said.
"What's the problem with that?" Shreli asked.
"Do they look like people who would plan attacks and cultivate power in other countries?" Xu Jing said.
Shreli looked down at the slightly shabby barracks below, and then looked at the ruffian soldiers, and felt that something was wrong.
"We may have been fooled." Xu Jing said.
"So?" Shreli asked in confusion.
"Sneak in, get closer." Xu Jing said, crawling down and sliding down the mud slope.
Shrelily really couldn't accept this kind of action. She saw Xu Jing slide to the bottom and lie sideways in the muddy water. Her hair and face were covered with mud. She didn't move, waiting for the soldiers around her to pass by first, and then sneak into the shadow of the wooden building.
"I won't join in the fun. Besides, if you mess up, you'll need a backup, right?" Shrelily smiled, lying on the slope motionless, waiting.
